My longest streak is 729, drawing every day is pointless because it adds extra pressure and you start shitting out whatever you can make just to meet a quota and sacrifice actually doing something meaningful for that.

The ideal balance for me was drawing as much as I like (or don't draw at all if I don't feel like), while also doing at least 2 study sessions every week.

I generally draw 3 times a week outside of my study sessions, 5/7 with meaningful stuff instead of daily 30 minute diarrhea is pretty nice.

First time using markers for shading, just a practice off a reference. Used some really old markers I bought in highschool over 10 years ago, whose tips aren't really fit for the size of the area - old Pitt brush pens.

As I said,it's a bad photo of it. And it was how a leisurely walking commute suddenly vanished, and I was transferred to another store that took me a trip into NYC,a bus back to Jersey to ride an hour to some Sbarro pizza joint on a highway, and a 30 block walk. I had one night off,and I worked on this to keep my sanity. Yes,it's flawed, but its its something that I will never do again. I liked the archway, having a coffee table book on picturesque churches and that was a photo in it.

And eventually the store closed, and I was transferred again, but to a store that was within walking distance, but down a huge hill, which I had to walk up after a long night of tossing boxes around. I then tried doing this entirely in Photoshop, and its pseudo 3D look caught the eye of an art director for Bethesda when I submitted a link to my website for a concept artist job. But the art test that I was given I gave up on,because I still had a 48 hour week and a couple hours walk,so the artist who could deliver far faster than me would get the job. I was supposed to design 3 things : a barbarian dressed in ragtag armor, a Cyber-Manticore,and castle ruins in a jungle, and then draw storyboards of a fight between them. It took 2 weeks to do the barbarian and cyber manticore, and when I was starting the castle, I surrendered to fate.

I used to draw a lot of crude stickman comics with jokes that were influenced by what I liked back when I was in secondary school and surprisingly my classmates did read them and actually enjoyed them a lot (probably because it was about them), they then started drawing and tried to make their own comic as well, at least a dozen of us made a 'comic club' where we would share our comics around to read, giving advice on jokes and gags, etc.
It was somewhat of a healthy competition as well, since all of us started off knowing nothing of fundamentals and we did it purely 'for teh lulz' - to see if who could make the funniest shit ever.
I left my country due to family circumstances and later on asked my still in contact friends if they still draw and as I figured, they all stopped after I left, none of them kept it even as a hobby - I was the glue that held everything together, the moment I left was when their interest started to dwindle.
I think that period back then was my honest-to-god 'victory' and I doubt that in my lifetime, I could ever recreate it again, that kind of unity; now I'm just a lonely dude who draws for myself.

What happened was that I "caught the eye" of the art director when he went through submissions for the concept artist job. That means he found something interesting enough to give me a chance to compete for the position by participating in this test. I imagine that the art director would see which version of the subject matter fits the project, and that doesn't necessarily mean "the best artistically",or whatever, but the style that meshes best with the overall look of the product already envisioned by the director. It was an experiment that I liked what I achieved with it,and I could imagine severely disappointing this director by not submitting my work looking like the faux 3D kind of thing, giving him stuff assembled from bits of separate drawings as this pic was. I tried to be kind to the future polygonal architect that would have to build a model from my picture someday, so I stylized it with low polygonal shapes that could be distinctly textured, and also tried giving it a look that the viewer could imagine its history. The barbarian was terrible, bad pose, bad execution. I'll post that next.

Exactly. Not "good" or well executed, but has the charm of a child's finger painting. I found a picture of a Japanese schoolgirl and used the smear tool on the face to disguise it,some green paint on a separate layer using the hair filter then some standard Photoshop filter to make it leafy. Bevelling with shift in light source to make the ruins 3D-ish. The waterfalls were motion blurring and a lot of morphing. And I made her satchel Glassed for some reason. It all started with the wall behind her, which was another image swirled and made to look like a mural with a few touch ups. Happy experimenting with the best game in the world: Photoshop, where you always win.

The Built From Bits Dragon.

Years ago when I was still in an active Dungeons and Dragons campaign, I had the idea of creating a module for it that would be as ready to publish as I could make it, so I would be able to sell it to TSR as a standalone project, and this was going to be the cover. It was 40% complete before I abandoned it, and merely copied and pasted the background, and tossed in some placeholder images to make it seem complete. The dragon was a enforcer for a temple to an evil fire god,and had a missing front paw that he had fitted with a wicked blade like Azog in the Hobbit movies, something that I have never seen before.

I finally found someone who likes drawing as much as I do and also likes the same subject matter
It's a great feeling, he's well-spoken and enjoys my company as well. The highlight of my day now is watching him draw and drawing alongside him sometimes
I haven't jerked off in the last 5 days because I haven't had time to be bored, my mind is now always on "what am I gonna draw next, what is he going to draw today? would he like it if I drew this or that? what if I draw this today?"

Drawing already made me feel like I can fly, but now I have someone to fly alongside with

I get why you'd get that impression but I firmly believe that men can develop healthy inter-personal relationships between them without necesarily wanting to touch each other. The guy I talked about in my previous post is more of a brother to me than a lover

Plus, I have already had a taste of the sweet touch of a woman in the past and I can very confidently say that I want a woman rather than a man on my bed
