One of my earlier ocs, Mimic. Made her forever ago but still enjoy her.

I'm shit at writing and I apologize but I'll try to articulate the best I can.

Her homeless ass decided to move into a dungeon. She started off with just minding her own business. Trying to stay out of sight and mostly just living in the walls of the dungeon.

Though when one of the adventurers fell for one of the dungeons traps and died, she realized that she could make bank off of the loot they dropped.

She started to figure out how to activate the traps without being seen. Even making and setting up her own. Becoming an absolute menace and making the dungeon significantly more dangerous than it was before.


This art is a few years old. I really need to draw her again.

So this is my OC Natas (Nat for short)

She's the daughter of Lucifer, and on her 16th birthday she was sent out of hell on a mission to corrupt Emily and turn her to the dark side, showing up as a transfer student at a local private high school that Emily has been attending. But true to her blood heritage she hates being ordered around and once on earth she initially avoids Emily out of a sense of rebellion toward her father.
However one day after being assigned together for a group project with Emily they start talking and Nat being to really take a liking to Emily after learning about their shared love of horror movies and manga. Afterwards while she still refrains from being too buddy buddy with Emily, she watches over from a distance and periodically steps in to help her out.

Nat really values freedom of all forms, and while she is a demon she embraces her chaotic freedoms rather than being overtly malicious. She reaches out to Emily because she sees that Emily is still bound by her self imposed morality and the peer pressure of society and wants to help free her from those binds. Unfortunantely she's not the best at communicating it and can come off smug and dismissive toward Emily's problem which causes some friction in their relationship, however Emily can see that Nat really cares for her and starts to feel some deeper emotions as well, and when Nat gets a little more physical with her she sometimes starts to feel a little dizzy and feverish.

Anyways Nat isn't a very social person and comes off as aloof, everyone is scared of her but respects her intelligence and beauty. Only Emily knows her darker and more passionate sides.

I wanted to design her with a beautiful princess of hell dress, but I really wasn't happy with my concepts I could use suggestions... Right now I just have the left outfit which I based off a basic demon costume, but I thought might be cute for casual wear. And the middle which is the school uniform for everyone.

More like he's traveling village to village (for a different in-lore reason) and ends up dealing with their demon problems whether he wants to or not. Also this takes place in Mexico and later Guatemala so the ghosts are more beings like La Llorona, el Siguanaba, el Sombreron, etc.

That's fair but I promise you there is an explanation for this. He's inspired by both the Loteria card "El Gallo" and the hot sauce. The fire-breathing rooster is actually based on an japanese yokai called a "basan" that is pretty much the same thing. I made this character with the intention of making a TON of chicken puns.
The spirit guide being a chicken is also part of a running theme of "hero-like" characters in the story and later a villain character that each have their own unique bird as a spirit guide. (For example one character is the late Tecun Uman who in irl legend had a quetzal for his guide)

Cute mom. Although, if you are open to recommendations, I would highly suggest introducing a few more plague doctor elements to her outfit. Without her holding the mask, one could easily mistake her for a kind witch instead of a doctor. Changing the shape of the the small chest cape and giving her more belt accessories related to her profession might help.
A nitpick, but I feel a plague doctor would avoid having untied hair. A hood, even if it's only partially covering the head, might be fitting. Alternatively, a bun serves the same purpose while also adding to the mom aesthetic.

I aim to create mulitifaceted characters', so her life doesn't completely revolve around her relationship to the prince that just one aspect of her character. When she the pretty pretty Potpourri shes is basically a magical girl that kicks the shit out of bad guys PPG style, like shes not a meek sad girl type. she is feminine and gentle but she still has some spicy flavor to her. hard to convey this in a paragraph blurb lol

Yeah I wasn’t Super feeling it but I also wanted to get away from black/black adjacent colors since that what I was aiming for with Emily. So I went with red, but wasn’t sure how to properly balance the contrasts and erred a bit too much on the lighter side.

Black definitely looks better though and the extra accents def work better too.
Though I’ll agree the sash feels off, but makes me think maybe a skirt cape? I’ll have to try some stuff later.

Overall it’s very much improved though imo, thanks for the redesign.
