I always wait a day before uploading precisely because of that.

It's funny how you instantly see the piece with new eyes one quantillionth of a second and mistakes stick out like a sore thumb. I think it's a similar effect to showing a "funny video" to your friend in person and awkwardly standing there while none of you laugh and you start to ask yourself how you even found it funny in the first place

This will ALWAYS happen. No matter how much you polish a drawing, you will notice a mistake only after publishing it. Accept it and move on.

It happened to me for a St. Nicholas drawing contest where my drawing got printed and sent to something like 10000 people. There was a skyline of a city and I missed a large chunk of sky. There was my real name attached to it.

We had a good laugh with the teacher because it happened to him except he accidentally gave St.Nicholas 6 fingers on one hand.

No reaction pic because jannies think I'm a pedophile that deserves a life time in jail, sadly.

I've seen some horrific mistakes in artwork with tons of likes or whatever, which made me realize that no, the average viewer doesn't notice. Focus more on general composition and appeal, because that matters more in terms of engagement. Like seriously, I've seen prebeg shit like backward hands or incorrectly overlapping lines etc on drawings that people apparently love.

I'll never understand what's the point of following more than a couple hundred accounts, do people just do it on impulse or do they really have all the time in the world to casually check anyone from over 1800 followers?

Social media started as a "gotta catch 'em all" game, where people would compete who had more friends.

In this day and age,, people do it out of compulsion, almost using the follow button as a like button (and the like button as a "I saw this post" button).

That would not be a problem if the users doing it were the ones left to deal with the mess.

The problem comes from companies tailoring the ENTIRE WEBSITE to accommodate these obsessive followers, leaving all the responsibility to what people are going to see to the algorithm.
People don't have the time to watch all the content they follow, so it's """""""convenient""""""" to them to have a machine decide what goes and what goesn't on their feeds.
And you, as a nobody artist, get the short end of the stick, while big artists will be favored by the robot's decision-making.
