Mental illness =/= art

Despite popular beliefs, creativity can be learn and developed. Make lists of things you like, subject, style, artist, ect... And try to combine them, note any idea you have and try to make at least a little doodle.

Honestly, doing thumbnails before diving into a piece and using references is a great way to boost your creativity. Don't be afraid to browse through other artists work and get inspired.

Also what >>6543779 said is some great advice so maybe try doing that too. Best of luck and don't forget to read the sticky if you want to really grind your art gains.

pic related is something I drew when I first started my acid phase. Funnily enough I was purely focusing on beaming SOVL rather than the technical aspects - which is why Hazama's arm is fucked up amongst other things because I thought it would be fun and whimsical at the time. (Not to say that one needs drugs to be creative, in fact I would argue that it's much easier to draw properly while sober so keep up the good work)

Yeah I spoke rashly before, drugs aren't what makes you a good ARTIST, I guess I used them cause I had no other motivation. Y'all just be patient with knuckleheads like me, we know we're fucking up but look it at this way

An item gives you happy, humans take it away, what's the common denominator that is taking away the happy? Humans, what is ART? I say it's God's personality, the expression of emotion made tangible. We junkies are just looking, scratching and pulling at anything that can bring us that happy. I've found that drugs do this, and I do understand it's a bandaid over a bullet wound.

In that last two years I've been getting Jesus, in the time, I told others of Him. I know drugs aren't the answer, but they are a temporary solution until I can fully give my self to Lord Jesus, ART, and my happiness. Next time y'all have something to say do try to actually bring substance not sludge
