If this character is for animations, the fur design is okay, but as a character design, it looks too sterile and constrained. I would look for references of cat fur (this is a cat, right?) patterns and maybe test out different ways to apply it to the muscular anatomy or the gestural lines of the body of this character. (think of using the lighter and darker color to accentuate the muscles and/or the softer parts of the body with stripes, spots, or patches) A good thing to remember is that fur moves, so there's no reason to try and keep the pattern in perfectly contained shapes. I would also fix the inconsistencies between both sides. For example, the light color on the belly of his ventral side just disappears around the buttocks/groin area on the dorsal side. The light color on the palms also looks weird. I might suggest having that color climb up the arm a little bit and fully cover the hands to make it look like long gloves instead of African hands. Adding black or pink paw pads might also be something worth looking into. Great work so far, bro. Keep it up!

Bruh, you fell for the common trapping of thinking that crotches are like a peak, or "V" shape (upside down, of course).
Both men and women have a space between the base of their legs, so make sure to accommodate for that.
Shins are also too similar in length, so that's a foreshortening error? They look flat. Get somebody to pose like that, or use an action figure to emulate that pose, and you'll get a better picture of what to emulate.

You got a little bit of same face syndrome going there, buddy, might want to be weary of it. I realize that they may be siblings or twins, in which case disregard my comment. I'm working to fix that issue myself, as all of my dogs and lizards used the exact same template for snoots, so I started to try using different lines and lengths at different parts to break up the "shoe" silhouette that their basic head structure followed, and then I used more dynamic and varying shapes for other features, like dog noses (some where very soft, almost like an oval, others became hard and rigid, almost like a triangle) etc etc.

I also think it looks better when you DONT outline the fur patterns with a black line, like you did once, I'm assuming on accident.
Sheen on the eyelids is all wrong, too, because if they were super shinny, then the sheen lines would match the shape, and be curvy like the semi-domes that they are.
This one is a bit of a nit-pick, but I think that you shouldn't do the "hair mirrors itself depending on the angle" thing, because it can seem kind of lazy.
Def work on anatomy, because once you see the feet it becomes obvious it's lacking, even if your going for a stylization.

Not that anon but I'll try answering this. I think the problem is that everything you listed which is the line work, anatomy, and shading is simply bad. It all combines into a piece that not only looks like a mess but doesn't even have the courtesy of having other redeeming aspects. The only way to improve this piece is to honestly trash it and start over again.

I'd also suggest replacing the characters with more recognizable characters since no one has any idea who these characters are supposed to be.

Not sure about the back of the head, the glove patterns and the tail. I'd recommend making the light brown part of the tail be on the underside to match the stomach fur. Additionally the transition from the cheek fur to mouth looks inconsistent in the back view compared to the side, along with the extra scruff/mullet of the darkest brown in the back. It might need some frontal dimensionality.

The way I measure it is by measuring the distance from the bottom of the crotch, to the bottom of the feet, and if that line is MORE than the other direction (bottom of crotch to top of head), then I think it's too long.
I don't remember exactly, especially since most of my furries have digitigrade legs, and or slightly longer necks, so I can't exactly use standard human ratios, but you don't, so you should be able to compare to normal known ratios, and I think if you make it slightly shorter legs, then you should be fine.

Yup, too long. And or the torso is too short.
Elbow points should rest on the tip of the hips (you can jab your sides with your elbows to verify this), but in your piece it looks like they would jab into the bottom of the hips, or at the tippy top of his legs. In this case, not only is the torso a bit too short, but the elbows are kind of lower where they should be.
Ratios are pretty poor on the dude, but by small degrees, so it might be hard to immediately see, but they are there (that also means that you aren't too far off, so just keep practicing and you should get the hang of it with practice).

Girl looks very solid, though, so practice your men lmao!

Well, the first thing I'll say is: don't compare yourself to others. It never ends well. You have the potential to be as good as you want to be, always.
That said, while I see the potential in your art for a particular niche, you have to ask: where do you want your art to be? What needs to be done to make that happen? What needs to be practiced? Bad practice can harm an artist just as much, if not more, than no practice.
I don't necessarily think you should judge your potential based on pieces you've finished, but rather by how you are allowing yourself to develop. You may just need to reevaluate how you engage with the procedure of drawing and painting. Step back and look at your body of work, instead of forcing yourself to make things that just make you upset.

Like I said, I don't think your pic is bad--it's endearing, even--but it's clearly having a negative effect on you, and I think some proper self-discovery would go a long way to rectifying that.

I only ask cause the influences has already effected you. So I wouldn't get too concerned about yourself during your drawing journey.
For me, when I feel I struggle what I would do is draw from pure imagination of my characters, or use references. But with Refs, I simply gesture the pose, and from there draw out the character to my liking without the ref. Having the ref up will deform it to match the ref too closely, creating an unappealing drawing as an end result. Usually, I'd draw a bunch of poses within' an hour and not concern myself about the quality. I simply want to get it done, or most of the time I simply just want to draw. And from all those sketches, it's easy to grab one of those drawings and clean it up a bit. Don't concern yourself with professionals posting their works online, as Everyone still does cringe and it's all over their sketchbooks. You simply just see said artists only post their best work most of the time.

Here's a process one of my drawings. I used a ref to gesture the pose, and from there I use what I felt were appealing shapes at the time for the character. To me, I feel if you have a strong understanding of Shapes and Form, there's nothing you can't draw. I say that, but I'm still learning so I guess take that with a grain of salt, but I truly believe it to be the case.
To get a better understanding of shapes, simply draw more and play with said shapes. Bend the shapes to your liking. If you're drawing a box for a pelvis, bend it to felt the pelvis of your character. Play with it till you find your appeal. And since you have so many influences, YOU can make the judgment if your drawing has appeal or not. But remember to note bot the Good and Bad in what you did.

I feel like i'm ngmi... I completed a year since i started drawing but its been 6~7 months since i drew anything, i feel like i'm unable to have fun drawing, i practiced for 3~4 months ( drawing 1~2 hours a day because i'm unable to keep focused on drawing for more than 30~40 minutes straight ). I really wanted to be able to get good at drawing but being a /beg/ is so frustrating and every single drawing i make, i get more demotivated. Any suggestions ? It's got some issues, but it's far from being anything close to "bad". Don't be so hard on yourself. 7 months is a long time to take a break. I've done that before, and it was real hard to get back in the groove of things, but you can do it.
As for not having fun, that's something you'll have to discuss with yourself. If you're not ever having fun, then don't force yourself to do something you don't enjoy; however, if you're not having fun because you think your stuff sucks, then there's no cure for that aside from just pushing through. Keep drawing, keep fixing your mistakes. Eventually you'll reach a level where you look at your stuff, and feel pride instead of disappointment. I think you already should be feeling some pride.
The only people who don't make it are the people who quit.

Yeah, I'm much the same way. You can't be that hard on yourself though. Instead of practicing just raw drawing skills, work on other things that might be inhibiting you: your perfectionism, for instance. Try and catch yourself trying to be too perfect, and call yourself out. Move on. Learn to be okay with mistakes. Every time you find yourself thinking negatively about your drawings, find one thing you did well and encourage yourself to do better on the next one.
Your mindset matters just as much as, if not more than, the skills you're developing. A good headspace is essential. You don't have to pretend your life is perfect, but at least allow drawing to be a fun activity.

The ass is way too flat. Be sure to reference nice asses from real life to see how an ass needs to pop. I'll give you a hint, an ass is all circles and curves.The asscrack/hole is usually the focal point of these types of images, so be sure to define that really well too. Be sure to accent how round the cheeks are too, a fat round ass is about those fat round cheeks. Keep this in mind, and you'll be drawing better asses.

Head seems too big, I'm not sure what's going on with the perspective, her hands look like they're on a counter bur the feet don't match that perspective. Her butt seems flat and long. The boob is weird, too high, shoulder is too forward, and the spine and upper back seem misshapen. You'd go a long way just doing some constructive anatomy, she looks like a person-shaped blob rather than an actual body with bones. Look up how some artists you like construct bodies
