Maybe this particular image has come up several times before, but was this from the thread where the OP pic was the reference on the right and everyone had to study it? I remember one anon who was really good and he got a lot of people saying he cheated despite posting a full video process.

Great work anon!! I'm proud of ya. 4chan also inspired me to draw but for the opposite reasons. When I was 13 I tried my hand at drawfagging in the steven universe general and they fucking tore my art to shreds. I was devastated and angry but that fueled my spite to prove them wrong. After two years I went to the undertale general and for the first time somone said "whoa, who drew this? Its really good" and when I started drawfagging there I got nothing but compliments and even got a few commissions out of it. Suck on that, /sug/.

It really depends on your mindset really, for my case i hated rendering/drawing realistic human faces and i was more focusing on concept art and getting into the industry for years, i just got back to it seriously in these last months and with a lot of new skills that i got from through the years and it was relatively easier to paint human faces now, i wasn't purely focusing on it for 5 years
