Thank you so much! For now I’m doing them to greyscale finish and uploading them one at a time to social media. You can read it that way if you don’t mind waiting each page. Once the first chapter is done, I’m thinking of possibly colorizing the whole thing and putting it up on tapas/webtoon, but that’ll be a little while before I get to that stage.

Can I get advice on rendering? I'm kinda lost because I'm not sure where on the realism scale I want to be. Should I just focus on rendering as close to real life as possible? Should I be copying other artists? Should I even be focusing on rendering?

I grow up with traditional medium before switching to digital. The skills transfer nicely when you do shading on digital.
I also spent lot of time studying digital colouring/painting. From greyscale to color. That definitely help me a lot when it comes to determining value in drawing, though it's far from perfect.
Studying comic, traditional artists, or even black and white artwork is also a great way to learn.

I'm the sort of guy that only draw when I find something interesting.
For routine, I keep in mind the mistake I made on previous work and try not to do it on my next work. The gap between finding new inspiration to draw my next work is the time I spend learning and practicing to fixed my mistakes.
I'm blessed enough with a good career so art is just a hobby for me to wind down. There's no use stressing about it, in my case.

10 years. Wish it could have been shorter but I'd say that's a decent time considering im still in mid 20-s. Don't let it discouraged you anon. If you really wanted to, you can achieve it in 3-5 years, assuming you really go all in on art.

For someone who never wanted art to be his main income, I'd say my progress is good enough. Beside, I earn way more as an engineer than I ever could as a freelance artist.

I notice beginner tend to zoom too close on their canvas which result in shaking, uneven thickness in lineart. It's okay for detail, but for general shape of the drawing it's not a good practice. Try getting used to drawing without zooming too much.
Also practice on line confidence. Try not too rely too much on Ctrl+Z if you can! Sometimes erasing is better.
If you don't have any mood for drawing, watching speedpaint can sometimes inspire you to draw.

Theirs the whole thing but only felt like posting the face. I need a better handle of clothing and hands in general. Cant quite grip how the fuck into hair. Overall it was a pleasant experience, I should do it again sometime.

I'm working on this, one girl a day. It's all I have the presence of mind to draw. They got me working 13 hours from 4am today and I'm coming in just as early tomorrow.
I've been maintaining my job, marriage, diet, and exercise. I barely have the energy and time to draw, but I'm doing this, even if it's crappy just so I'm not giving up on art completely.
