Question for people who do commissions: do people really commission unfinished shit like sketches or lineart only? What use do people have for anything that isn't a finished product?

Sometimes peeps are lower on budget but still wants your artwork. Either your artstyle or really just wants art made from *you*
Though I solve this problem by not offering sketches, lineart or basic color in the first place and it's still enough to keep me slightly busy on weekends (1-3 comms a week)

maybe it’s because I’m adult but these price sheets have always been massive cringe to me
high value clientele will just ask for something and pay whatever the artist asks as I personally do
seeing these price sheets just brings an image of a guy in Chinatown yelling, “five-dollah”, “five-dollah”, “full-sketch, eh!!”
immediate loss of respect in my opinion

My regular commission sheet is outdated as fuck, so I'll give you this.
I get one or two a month if Im active enough, but since I havent been active, I've barely gotten any. There was a time someone gave me 100$ for three of these

I've been thinking about letting commissioners pick their own price, but how do you get them to not say super low ones? Like they could try and get it as cheap as possible to either get away with a discount, or bait you into giving them a minimum, at which point it's the same as just having a sheet.
