i can't really care about ai anymore... seems like this is a painter who is trying to make use of ai (picrel is an old drawing from 2021). good for them, i guess.
it's pretty (at least at first glance), but it looks the same as a bunch of other ai illustrations i've seen in the past, so it's not really that interesting to me.

They don't love AI art per se, or art at all. They are in love with the subject matter of the art and don't care where it came from or who made it.

The artists who jump on board with this to try and make an easy buck deserve all the shaming and canceling they will face in return. The art world has always been full of scammers and this just opened the door to accelerate that further. They won't get far with it though because now literally any asshole can do it and there's nothing special they can do to stand out.

Anon, I maybe a newfag in 4chan but I have some experience in art dealing. Most people, even coomers spend money for real art, no one want to spend money on photobasher, especially the worse one like AI artists.
The problem is they are baiting the public into using this scam in a massive scale. Random accounts use AI to white/blackwash history figures to bait political fanatics fight back with the same shit. A lot of trannies accounts suddenly spam "cancel AI, look at me for real art" with the most annoying tone of speech to drive the public into thinking AI haters are all faggots... this lead to corporates thinking AI is a hotshit and investing in it, Blizzard, Fornite, Tencent, Tumblr,... starting to adopt AI art in silence while trying to condition their user to accept it. Once this bubble burst, they will suffer a great loss, not only money but trust from artists and customers. Pajeets will get away with scam money like they always do.

Speaking on AI promotion, has anyone else noticed that across the internet the 'professionals' (usually with approved accounts blue checkmarks) who try to promote stable diffussion and the like haven't actually worked on anything in like 9-12 years?

good point. that's a big weakness of ai artists which hasn't been exploited only due to the fact that none have gotten really popular and successful yet. this quality of ai means that the community will eat itself very thoroughly.
if you're a real artist and someone steals from you then it's easy for people to recognize that you're the guy who actually created the art.
if you're a promptnigger then you will get very little if any sympathy when people steal from you. ai artists were born in theft, molded by it. they will be the first targets of theft due to their proximity to the other thiefs
