i can't really care about ai anymore... seems like this is a painter who is trying to make use of ai (picrel is an old drawing from 2021). good for them, i guess.
it's pretty (at least at first glance), but it looks the same as a bunch of other ai illustrations i've seen in the past, so it's not really that interesting to me.

No. Look at the details in her dress. They're scrunched up, gross. The real bad thing about AI generated art isn't even the job market losses, it's the unstoppable lowering of consumer standards.

If Translator did a somewhat decent job, he says people will still be able to do art because it is fun, it just won't be viable as a job anymore, that's the change of times and we must accept. In exchange, we will be able to do better art because we'll be doing for fun.

I think japs are becoming mostly in favor of AI, at least non artist ones. It's almost like they always wanted to draw and kinda hated their own artists for doing it for a living.

Ironically enough, I do see more western normies siding or supporting artists thaj japs. Japanese artists are pretty much all alone there.

I whish people could think like that. I don't care if people use AI for fun even getting many thousands of like in social medias, but use it for profit is so low and what about all that talk about "bringing art for the masses" or the gatekeeping thing? So, they just want easy profit.

They don't love AI art per se, or art at all. They are in love with the subject matter of the art and don't care where it came from or who made it.

The artists who jump on board with this to try and make an easy buck deserve all the shaming and canceling they will face in return. The art world has always been full of scammers and this just opened the door to accelerate that further. They won't get far with it though because now literally any asshole can do it and there's nothing special they can do to stand out.

AIfags just want to be the ones profiting off imagery, all the arguments about artists gatekeeping, commodifying expression, being narcissists, whatever, is all just deflection. So far, AIfags have proven to take all their complaints about real artists and amplify them to 11, only they don't have any skill or uniqueness to back it up, just a machine that generates images using data from the work of real illustrators and photographers.

Agreed who cares if someone wants to use AnalDiffusion for their DnD campaign or something for fun. Trying to profit from it is slimey. I think people should accelerate things further and educate the masses of normies how to use it themselves (the free ones, not subscription based) just to spite the people who are trying to monetize it.

AI will hit artists really hard and just pretending people doesn’t like it won’t help us.

The reason anime styled art got screwed so hard was thanks to a relatively uniformity of style, relatively close adherence to real perspective and human anatomy, and most of all the danbooru autismos obsessively archiving and explicitly tagging as much art as they could get their hands on. AIfags will insist it isn't true and that AI could do it without, but if there weren't danbooru, AI anime slop would not have even 5% of the quality

Anon, I maybe a newfag in 4chan but I have some experience in art dealing. Most people, even coomers spend money for real art, no one want to spend money on photobasher, especially the worse one like AI artists.
The problem is they are baiting the public into using this scam in a massive scale. Random accounts use AI to white/blackwash history figures to bait political fanatics fight back with the same shit. A lot of trannies accounts suddenly spam "cancel AI, look at me for real art" with the most annoying tone of speech to drive the public into thinking AI haters are all faggots... this lead to corporates thinking AI is a hotshit and investing in it, Blizzard, Fornite, Tencent, Tumblr,... starting to adopt AI art in silence while trying to condition their user to accept it. Once this bubble burst, they will suffer a great loss, not only money but trust from artists and customers. Pajeets will get away with scam money like they always do.

Speaking on AI promotion, has anyone else noticed that across the internet the 'professionals' (usually with approved accounts blue checkmarks) who try to promote stable diffussion and the like haven't actually worked on anything in like 9-12 years?

good point. that's a big weakness of ai artists which hasn't been exploited only due to the fact that none have gotten really popular and successful yet. this quality of ai means that the community will eat itself very thoroughly.
if you're a real artist and someone steals from you then it's easy for people to recognize that you're the guy who actually created the art.
if you're a promptnigger then you will get very little if any sympathy when people steal from you. ai artists were born in theft, molded by it. they will be the first targets of theft due to their proximity to the other thiefs
