It is true that AI devalues art. Soul is subjective and changes depending on the author. 1 year ago I would say this picture has a soul because somebody worked hard on it and I admire their dedication to such details. Now I see simple drawings on MS paint to have more soul then average artstation post. Same with corporate artstyle. Most pictures including anime that is not simple armature lineart lost all meaning to me thanks to AI. Thanks for devaluing art.

AI Anon, first a real human drew something that got "sovl". Then an image generator used that image as an input to generate something with "sovl". The more the original input is tweak the more of the original is lost. If you see "sovl" then that is a remnant from the original source.

even when i get okay results playing with ai, i don't feel that it's my creation. it's not my style. i didn't make it with intent, just gacha rolled until i got the best result.

I've seen the reaction of high end AI in my community, people saw it could make high quality stuff of their OCs, but no one commissioned the prompter, they keep going to an actual artist in the xo.munoty to get the art for their OCs.

A lot of art is about status, luxury items. Being made by AI lowers its value in the eyes of customers, has zero bragging rights

They were always more soulful. Art didn't change, your perspective about humanity and art changed after AI showed you that visual perfection is not the ultimate goal of creation. The goal of creating is spiritual perfection through capturing compassion, agape love for things and people, and communicating between our consciousnesses of our individual experiences existing in this collective reality. As dumb as it sounds, a doodle made in MS Paint on a whim of passion/joy is a better embodiment of creation than a painfully over rendered anime girl with no identity. On some level, people can see that, or become enlightened about their own humanity enough to see it, and they call it soul.
