I've been hanging out in AI discords and taking what other people are generating to use in my photobashes for my drawings and paintings. I advocate other artists to do the same. It's not like they'll ever know, especially if your fundies are good.

At this point failure to adapt AI in to your artwork is akin to being against the use of computers at all

Essentially. Even though my art style is simple, I already used photobashes to help me make make detailed pieces within a set timeframe for prints and such. AI is just a more abstract source of stock art in some areas, and a concept artist in others.

I don't see any point. maybe it's helpful if you are going for hyper render monkey shit. My style is similar to Tatsuyuki tanaka, katsuya terada, lots of line work, minimal rendering.

easier to use 3D so i can actually make things exactly how I want them
seriously don't understand why ai is hailed as some sort of giga shortcut when you just have to learn the bare basics of Blender and boom, both characters and environments for you to bash and draw over with any lighting, angle you want

again, this shows people here are retarded
if you want a true shortcut use 3D like it has been used for 10-15 years instead of relying on a computer to magically generate you generic shit

literally got a model I reuse for the feet coomers and have reused 30+ times to make 30+ different illustrations you wouldn't tell they come from the same fucking source since ei can manipulate the model
fucking retards cant even use crutches and shortcut tools properly

My style is also line work based. None of the AI is visible in my finals. My market likes ornate fairy tale level work that's easy to read, but provokes an esoteric feeling. The AI is great for coming up with acid trip tier concepts to bash together.

>literally got a model I reuse for the feet coomers
That works for people who make a living taking commissions from coomers. I don't; I sell prints, merch, and originals for a different niche yet highly consuming group. I just use the models in CSP if I need to, but a quick gesture sketch is usually enough since there's more focus on costuming and scenery.

What prevents you from generating your own AI shit for photobashing?
High level AI art creation is very similar to photobashing anyway. You think they all just type a prompt and press a button once?

I do both. If I see something I like in the feeds, I take it. I don't see a problem in stealing something from a group that can only keep generating word salad prompts while thinking they can beat artists.

Not a bad idea actually. At the very least, it'll give good ideas - and it's not like you're stealing a character or composition from an artist, and what's the AI bro gonna do? Accuse you of stealing his mass produced stuff? Like he even remembers the one of two hundred he made that day.

>>6290076
For personal work? Who cares how someone draws or wishes to enjoy themselves. For professional work though, yeah maybe.

There are people who draw and paint without using computers, and some even make a good living off their art, and still use computers for other things.

I get the feeling the average /ic/ poster can’t imagine that it’s possible to draw without all these crutches, and that being able to do so makes you faster and gives you more freedom than if you have to rely on AI or tracing. They can’t fathom why someone wouldn’t use these things, or that doing so would actually slow them down and hamper their creativity.

You can use a calculator rather than learn how to do arithmetic but at the cost of your own mental sharpness and independence. The push is for everyone to let the machines do everything, including thinking, for us. But the benefits of, for example, learning to draw and actually drawing, go beyond the immediate image produced on a sheet of paper. You are exercising parts of your brain that will atrophy if you turn your agency over to a machine.

>its open source
That's the spirit. I used the word "stealing" because I anticipate some of these AI bros to get territorial over their "carefully crafted prompt" since they're trying to monetize them in some markets. To me, their prompts are open source, too.
>>6291343
Even if he does, you can just go "prove your work", "show me your layers/work setup", "you can't steal a concept." This is a free for all for ideas.
>>6291364
More like 3 minutes prompting. I try not to spend too much time. Drawing is easier.
