On the horizon:

SD v1.5 will go public soon (it was supposed to be already). It has been trained on closeups of faces and is better at making natural faces.

Still awful at limbs.

But Stability AI is training a new model which has 2x as many parameters and is way closer to DALL-E2's quality. It will be impossible to run on normal consumer GPUs though.

It is called LIT-H or CLIP-H, something like that. It understands instructions much better. Perhaps we finally get proper limbs then.
