Any good Perspective resources besides How to Draw, Framed Perspective, Erik Olson NMA course, and Marshall Vandruff 1994 Perspective series?

I'm mostly interested in Field of View's relation to vanishing points' positioning and how to make sure that randomly positioned objects on a scene do respect the same lens.

>> No.6273631

>>6273609
It's just making sure you base all vanishing points off the same station point.
In 2 point perspective, when you connect the 2 vanishing points with the station point it forms a 90 degree angle. All you do is tilt this 90 degree angle on its corner, which is the station point.
This way both vanishing points move in tandem keeping the same lens distortion.
I think it's explained by Erik Olson. If not, then Vanishing Point by Jason Cheeseman-Meyer explains it I think.

The latter part of this post is pretty helpful. Basically, without rendering, you're left with overlapping and positioning alone to carry the illusion of depth. So to get good foreshortening(and generally a convincing sense of 3D with minimal to no rendering) it's more about placing things carefully and drawing shapes that read well.
I'm a ginormous weeb, but Toth is one of my favourite artists because his art is just so elegantly simple and effective. I study from his work often and Hamm's breakdowns help a lot.

"How tos" are the sub-knowledge on how to imitate the artist art style and how to see from their perspective that might be selected and abandoned based on their experience. My dude, you're like the worst form of /ic/ crab possible. Copying drawings intended for copying is a solid stepping stone to drawing from life. The people you call brainlets literally teach you how to draw. See: krenz. Go troll somewhere else.

>>6293636
First read the introductory text in the Bargue book. This will give you a history of academic training, a bit of inside scoop into the drama of the times, and show you how to set up a Bargue (or any drawing/painting, really) for copying with minimal distortion/perspective issues. You can, and should apply this to most of the drawings you do just to reinforce your eyes and intuition to get proportion, spacing, sizes, etc correct. I basically never draw sight size anymore but it's good for training when first starting out. You learn with training wheels.

In terms of further resources, you have the high quality plates here that you can print out: https://barguedrawing.wordpress.com/ and follow along with things like these >>6293657. There's too resources to list, I'm sure you can find people on youtube showing demonstrations of how they did a Bargue. You'll have to learn how to have a supple drawing hand that doesn't dig into the paper and learn how to make short and long sweeping marks - curved, straight, etc. No resource can help you, just rote practice to get it into the hands.
