Do you ever get intimidated by the skill of others?

I fear no indian but the demoocratizer

No. I often assimilate anything I enjoy about their work and get rid of the rest. So there is no point.

Yes. Especially when their art is so exceptional that I can barely understand how they did it and if they have a lot of social media presence.

It's a mix of envy, intimidation, and admiration that I try to channel into inspiration. I follow all their works, I download all their art--placing them into their own designated folders, and I breakdown and learn as much as I can from their work. Asking myself questions such as "why does this painting work and how can I apply this to my own art?"

It's a cope that's been keeping me productive.

yes
>see a picture from my favorite artist that I hadn't seen yet
>it's really sexy. dick goes diamonds instantly
>whip out the d
>but the piece is so well done and coherent I keep wandering off in the details, in awe. it's light years from my skill level
>a couple minutes in and I'm not even horny anymore, just completely humbled. still hard but no will to coom whatsoever
>turn off the computer and go clean the house

Never, but I often feel frustration at not being able to meet my own standards and taste. It's the great art that makes me to want to keep going.

Idk i can tell that it's a painting and not real. Am I 500 IQ?

this is how I know you will never make it. A true artist would bust the fattest load in your life in appreciation for the line work and brush strokes.

Intimidated not the exact feeling but it does teach me that I do not have the capability to go pro and I feel a sense of great awe in the face of true mastery which takes me back to being beg again starting from low int in my never-ending begcycle.

Yes. Every fucking time I just look at some very cool or very coom fanart with 2k+ likes and open the user's page to find shit like
>19 years old
>hobbyist artist (paints like picasso)
>also animates
>25k followers
>studying to be a nuclear physicist (or some complicated shit like that)
>has a boyfriend/girlfriend

While I'm a dumb 22+ year old faggot that went to film school to learn animation. Can barely draw pin ups of girls and coomer shit to get commissions didn't learn to animate and only have a little bit more than a thousand followers. And I'm suppossed to be a "profesional" while they're doing the only that I ever cared about ten times better than me and as a fucking hobby.

yes, but I've been giving less fucks about it lately. not because I'm getting better, but because this line of approach is getting old

Yes, but I also get demotivated by below average art getting promoted on TV or other big platforms because some people have good contacts. I mean what the hell is this? This isn't even normie facebook level tier hyper realism.
