Yeah, i am not even an artist. I am actually a data scientist but i am quite shocked at seeing other AI scientists cheer on as AI automates human creative activities. If i ever reveal my concern to them then they all give similar answers - " it's not that bad, things have been automated before too and we have more jobs now, you're being paranoid"

What they don't understand is that any new job that is created will also be automated within six months once AI has sufficient data. Computer engineering,math, science, art, literature - everything will be automated. Not being able to compete against AI will lead to general loss of meaning in life. AI will reach a point that it will be able to create an infinite content machine that keeps humans hooked forever and humans who might've recently lost purpose and meaning to their life will gladly escape into this infinite content utopia. Either that or these humans will kill themselves.

I can't seem to find any other outcome of this situation. Every AI influencer never really mentions what jobs humans might do after they lose their jobs. They just vaguely say that people shouldn't worry. There are also a lot of tech guys who are laughing at artists rn. It honestly pisses me off.

I think there will always be manual labour jobs like nursing and agriculture etc. Like we already have machines that can automate farm work but in my country it's too expensive for farmers to invest in the technology so we rely on poorly paid backpackers instead.
Altho it's funny bc the dream is to automate all the crap work so we can spend our time writing and drawing and making music. Instead that'll all be the stuff to go while we're stuck cleaning toilets
