It's been puzzling me for a while.
This painting is one of my favorites. There's something about the expression of this dog, the way it looks into your very soul. In my own works, I cannot replicate this... 'stare'. The expression for the eyes are always blank, as if there is nothing behind it, no thoughts. I wish it were otherwise, like in this painting. The dog has so much expression it its eyes. You can almost see what it's thinking or feeling. Almost. I suppose the word for it is SOUL. Not just the soul of the painting, but the soul emanating from the dog.

Look at more old oil paintings, many have that same feel.
Not sure if your Pic is an actual oil painting or something from a video game/movie tho, image too shitty to tell

I've been seeing you schizopost it for a while and I don't get it. Are you genuinely obsessed with it? What game is it even from, some horror one? I remember seeing it.

This is literally my dog when she was a puppy. It feels just like yesterday when she was small enough to hold with one arm. Dogs really are the closest thing to seeing a child grow up.

you paint lean over fat (low oil content paint on top of high oil content paint) if you want to induce craquelure, it's caused but the top layer of paint drying before the underlying layers dry, generally people tried to avoid this as it isn't considered desirable and demonstrates poor technique

This dog has human eyes.
It's intriguing but also creeping me out, especially how they're placed on a dogs headshape, which has the eyes more outward facing than they'd be on a human head.
...maybe OP is a furry who likes realism.
