If you are a /beg/inner or /int/ermediate in art, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice.
Use this thread instead of making new threads or post in the drawthread with fundamental exercises.

RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS using one of the following methods:
1. screenshot the image and post that instead
2. change camera capture settings to something smaller
3. send to computer and resize in MSPaint

READ THE STICKY:
New collaborative sticky (anyone can edit): https://hackmd.io/UMnZVhNITW-T2wZpHw6d0Q
Old: http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-draw-learn

RECOMMENDED BOOKS FOR BEGINNERS:
- Keys to drawing
- The Art and Science of Drawing
- Perspective Made Easy
- Perspective Drawing Handbook
- Vilppu Drawing Manual (and literally any other book made by Glenn Vilppu)
- Figure drawing for all it's worth (and literally any other book made by Andrew Loomis)
- Figure - Design and invention
- Pen and Ink
- The Natural Way To Draw

RECOMMENDED BOOKS FOR INTERMEDIATES:
- How to Draw by Scott Robertson
- How to Render by Scott Robertson
- Color and Light: A Guide for the Realist Painter by James Gurney
- Morpho: Anatomy for Artists (and Literally any other book made by Michel Lauricella)
- Anatomy for Sculptors

TRY TO BE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK.
When giving feedback, avoid vague "advice" - point what's wrong and try to give the anon you're quoting a clear direction to improve their art (study heads < watch THIS VIDEO about head structure, read THIS SECTION of THIS ARTIST'S BOOK, etc).
You, feedback seeking anon, should also try to be clear and concise when asking for critique/help. When posting your artwork, say what you want help with, and what's your goal with the study/artwork.

pretty much anything will do if you're prebeg; again just overwhelms because "oh i have to buy things to start off? nope"

The "Complete guide" is a compilation of the best of all of his books. Constructive Anatomy was the first book Bridgman published. Because fundamentals are important, but if you're grinding fundamentals an hour a day, your early progress will be dwarfed by non-fundies who grind 5 hours a day.

Fundamentals will raise your ceiling and help you get through roadblocks in your progress, but especially at beg to int, nothing beats drawing every fucking day, and putting in as many hours as you possibly can. Even if you never focus on fundamentals, you can get them grinded into your brain without even noticing it with enough practice and work attempting to replicate fundamentally-sound works. You won't even think you did fundamentals, but you just did it the slower and hard way.

That is, autistic work ethic beats everything else, but fundamentals will give you the best bang for your buck as far as your time goes and will give you tools to help avoid a hard plateau like you see a lot of artists hit (think video game webcomic artists).

Once you have the 60 degree arc, extend it until it goes through your horizon line. Points created by the the arc extending from the station line is where your circle should touch.
