I don't want to name the artists that I saw on duraffinity and deviantart out of respect, but I could clearly tell they were autistic based on the art they had. It was the same types of drawings over and over with the same kinds of fetish content. Very childish-looking work with no improvement in sight. At first, I'd laugh at how "totally cringe" they are, but now I feel really bad. Some of them are around 18, some are 30, and not many are above 40, but it's something I see a lot.
If I had a genie, I'd wish for these guys to become better artists.

lol neurotypical people are not going to spend 8+ hours a day alone drawing shit and delving deep into all the subjects involved in making art. plus, autistic people are more creative.

This is the truth for the most part. There are individuals that don't meet enough of the criteria, but they're definitely on the spectrum. I think the only counterfactual to it is that some spergs, as we can clearly see here in most threads, can be too spergy to learn because they fundamentally misunderstand just about everything.

autism art is incredibly powerful if the creator truly embraces their autism and doesnt have significant retardation as a component of their autism, the vibrations their work give off are so penetrating that even normalfags that are just slightly quirky will resonate with it and enjoy it

if they try to mask or pretend to be normal it becomes incredibly weird and off key, like an alien pretending to be human. think of that guy who constantly makes art he thhinks hes supposed to, like pinups of sexy girls or something but theyre always weird and awkwward and its not ebcause of technical ability, his ideas are just weird and it seems like hes being forced?? thats what happens when you repress
no

Autism by itself can be debilitating, but autism combined with at least a bit of self-awareness truly is something special. The problem with autists is that most of them don't know how to grab hold of the reins.

Any kind of worthwhile work (being a doctor, civil engineer, lawyer) requires the same kind of dedication to learn to draw. Artists are just more independent and less "sheep-like" than most people, striking out their own way

you're right about dedication
but the difference is doctor and lawyer are extremely social disciplines and are much less creative, whereas being good at art is largely about spending time completely alone focusing on fucking shapes, colors, textures, light, exploring weird concepts and synesthetic ideas, requires extremely high sensory awareness/sensitivity, etc.
i don't know a whole lot about civil engineering in particular but i reckon that a lot of engineers are autistic too
i think it's also worth noting that lawyer is a very neurodivergent career as well, it's just in the form of psychopathy instead of autism.

Engineers are autistic as fuck and not in the good way. They'll hand in things where the math lines up and it looks right on paper but neglect the part where the real world and the people who assemble and use the damn things don't exist on paper and don't know math. Go change the timing chains on a G*rman sedan and you'll see what I mean.

All of them. Anyone can make art but only autists can make it with the highest level of dedication and skill.

"It seems that for success in science or art a dash of autism is essential. For success the necessary ingredients may be an ability to turn away from the everyday world, from the simple and practical, an ability to rethink a subject with originality so as to create in new untrodden ways, with all abilities canalised into the one speciality."

“Without people with autism, humans would still be living in caves.”

I have come to a conclusion myself after years of observing my behaviors. ADHD is a make up disorder of the modern world. You got ADHD and the number of the so called ADHD cases raise up these years is because you got cucked by overconsuming unnecessary information online in a short amount of time that fired up your dopamine receptor.

I tried it, got into a school, but ultimately failed.I sucked at storytelling and design and that was the main focus. I just wanted to make interesting moving pictures in traditional media.
