If you are a /beginner or /int/ermediate in art, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice.
Use this thread instead of making new threads or post in the drawthread with fundamental exercises.

RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS using one of the following methods:
1. screenshot the image and post that instead
2. change camera capture settings to something smaller
3. send to computer and resize in MSPaint

RECOMMENDED BOOKS FOR BEGINNERS:
- Keys to drawing
- Framed perspective
- Figure - Design and invention
- Pen and Ink

TRY TO BE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK.
When giving feedback, avoid vague "advice" - point what's wrong and try to give the anon you're quoting a clear direction to improve their art (study heads < watch THIS VIDEO about head structure, read THIS SECTION of THIS ARTIST'S BOOK, etc).
You, feedback seeking anon, should also try to be clear and concise when asking for critique/help. When posting your artwork, say what you want help with, and what's your goal with the study/artwork.

REMINDER TO IGNORE POSTS VIOLATING RULE 1
"All images and discussion should pertain to the critique of visual artwork."
(ex art dumps, posts without text, posters that don't ask questions or seek help)

I'm burning through my 8B pencil a lot faster than I thought I would. Actually wearing down pencils is not a thing I'm familiar with.

I just started loomis and I can't believe how fun and easy drawing is, I should've started before.

Proiud of you, son. Keep it up.

Looking good, just a quick note about hips. In a standing pose, if the leg is bent then the corresponding hip should be lowered. In figure 1, the right leg is bent and going behind the figure, so the right hip should drop. In figure 3, the left leg is bent, so the left hip is dropped. Of course the one exception to this is if the figure is standing on one leg.

It's no wonder you're burning through that pencil. 8B has got to be one of the softest leads available.
