maybe because the trad there goes for more shading and texture while the digital is the typical vector looking lineart with airbrushed shading

if your digital and trad art look very different then maybe its because you are going for 2 different looks ad techniques, if you like the more loose textured looked in trad then do the same digital ad youll get the same results same for the line heavy animu or wtv

you are not at the level where you can afford that much detail. keep your values within 1-3 because you're going WAY too dark. as one of my figure teachers said, always aim for "blur to focus". you are attempting to focus without having the skill acquired from mastering the "blur" stage. I promise you your skills will improve if you keep everything very simple. I know its not as interesting or fun but you need to. its also proportionally incorrect. use a constant and measure carefully. practice quick gestures.

Current WIP. Initially wanted to try still life reference drawing (looking at an irl object in front of me and drawing it) but then just settled for using a reference plastered directly into the program. Just doing studies because I still really suck.
Currently working on hands because I particularly suck at them. This is one of the best ones I've ever done.
I do suck, but I'm improving a lot and I'm very happy and confident about my progress. Just need to study more anatomy references and do a lot of hard work to get the eye for volume and form down.

I can see a lot of little issues with this hand still. Finger joint placement is a particular problem, and the fingers get too fat at the tips for some reason, making them look really ugly.

Use a reference to practice making things like the eye smaller as it is further back and look up the measurements for face proportions to get facial features placement. Once you get that down you'll make it pretty fast anon

I really love it. I'd read a comic in that art style.

Int line art, high beg coloring. Go deeper with shadows. Don't be afraid to use them to make it have striking contrast. Right now you can barely tell they are there.

It would help a lot if you experimented with brushed and opacity when shading + more line weight. Remember to keep thin lines where light is and thick lines where lines cross or there are shadows.
