Nah what holds people back is

-Thinking Loomis only teaches you how to draw things in his style full out like the example heads.
-Doing nothing but grinding floating Loomis heads all day.
-Not being able to get the method perfectly correct in one or two attempts so they quit and look for another artist's "Golden method" that'll for sure make them good this time.

Well, as stated earlier in thread lack's been drawing for most of his life (started uploading things in ~2007).
In his early years you can see a bit of experimentation and straying away from his style that you can expect to see nowadays to try different things and study different areas. His speed was most likely fostered from his tenure in the corporate art world as the deadlines are always being stacked up on each other. Learning when and how to make proper short cuts so you can focus on other things came into play too. Dude also just loves art.
He also found an addiction in thigh shine and chocolate elves which may or may not help.
In short:
>studies
>practice perspective
>going outside your comfort zone
>once you understand what you're doing figure out proper shortcuts
>speed draws/paints
>literally more studies
It's easy to get lost comparing your current progress to someone's decade+ long journey, and we only see what they show. For each finished piece, specially around the beginning, just try to imagine how much went onto the canvas and never saw the light of day just to practice things like strokes, folds, shapes, etc.
