Here is the last thing I made, which was a week ago. I don't really have any sure aspirations anymore. I used to want to be a concept artist but I got turned off that idea a while ago, so now I'm just aimless

concept art differs in what stage of art it is i guess..? unfinished sometimes? Only a thumbnail? if thumbnails and 'unfinished' or unpolished art make it into artbooks then id say concept art is art..

Ok you pussyfaggot, I will give you 3 challenges, you have the luxury to pick which one you want to make:

- Design a room/living place for her. I want an interior design, with furniture and man-made structures.
- Draw a 2 page comic about her. Just a random snippet where we get to see a glimpse of her lore or whatever she does. If she's a murdering ghost, for instance, make a comic about some guy being chased and murdered in an alley in a VISUALLY CREATIVE way.
- Write 2 paragraphs about her. Then find some spoopy music and make a video with the sentences overlayed on top of some cool pictures of her or things related to the theme (all drawn by you, no pasting twisted trees you got on Google).

If you can do non of that, you do NOT have a creator mindset and should just stop drawing.
Not because "only creators can be artists", but because you clearly don't enjoy the process, so if you don't enjoy the process AND you don't enjoy creating, you're in the wrong business.

This is my issue as well.

Spent thre last couple years obsessed with drawing and painting. Spent a small fortune on books and materials and now I feel i can draw anything reasonably well even from imagination.

Now the problem is I've gotten old and feel everything a bit pointless. I cannot get attracted to any idea I might have. Not even a small comic. It's not that I have ever tried. I've never went beyond the blank page.

What's the cure for guys like us?

The solution is to DO IT.
The point of it being a 2 page comic is that it's not going to take a lot of planning and it can be casual. If you can do illustrations, you can do a small sequence of illustrations that happen in sequence.

And that's also why I gave you other options, so you don't feel constrained by the comic format. Drawing the character's living place requires ZERO story planning, but you still have to think like your character, what objects or furniture he'd use in his daily life according to his personality/background, so stop feeling sorry for yourself and pick one PICK ONE GODDAMMIT IM TRYING TO PUSH YOU TO OVERCOME YOUR OBESE MENTALITY BUT YOURE NOT HELPING PICK OPTION FOUR ALREADY AND ADMIT DEFEAT IF YOU DONT WANT TO IMPROVE

Stop video games. Stop endlessly scrolling through youtube, tiktok, shows/movies/cartoons. Do nofap. Don't eat junk food. Workout and then you'll instantly see your ambitions back within a few of days to a week.
