Do you like my drawing, /ic/?

no, over-rendered garbage
work on your foreshortening
learn basic form and proportions

has alot of potential but the head and left hand are fucked up. What's with the rendering? Right knee is not aligned with the left knee. Aside from that, the anatomy on the body and the right arm are pretty good

What about the anatomy? It can't be that bad right?

>> No.6135457

>>6135448
Tbh, the really bad parts are the head and the arm
The rest is not that bad
Just work on your anatomy and your work will be great

In art school I remember having classmates that painted like this, one thing I noticed about them is they barely ever paid attention to the teacher's advice or skipped class a lot, they always tried to do the flashy shit first and at some point you gotta question yourself if giving them any advice is worth the effort, they never improved, at most they learned about photobashing and using overlay and multiply but it didn't help them at all.
How long do you spend on these paintings?

I am improving tho, you guys just have ridiculous standarts. Im learning something new everytime i draw. For someone who doesnt even do this for a living, i'd say im at a good distance so far.

it's so cursed it's impressive. Take a good look /ic/ this right here is what's called raw potential. This looks like it was painted without any fundamental knowledge, just raw determination. If you apply yourself, you could actually be a pretty decent artist.

Ambitious. Keep it up. Don't let people discourage you. You remind me of some of my first attempts at seriously creating art.

Otherwise keep going.

If you tell me you have been drawing for 2 years or less, I'll buy it. it's ambitious as someone else said but there's no base for it, I have seen /beg/ art that doesn't try flashy rendering, color, distorted perspective, forced foreshortening and photoshop gimmicks while on top of that trying to go for an anime "style", and their work looks just fine. I'm not measuring what you create for how little or much you care, just for what it is, it looks uncanny, go watch videos on structure on Proko's channel, while you're at it see his anatomy videos and pick up some books on anatomy on the artbook thread, or just look at the sticky where you get pretty much spoonfeed on what to read/watch for every specific thing you want to learn like gesture, construction, anatomy, perspective, light and shadow, colors and so on.
