I'm hoping to go from 3 pages to over 103. Started this today.

Then I'm going to spend multiple hours re-drawing all of this professionally. Just recording the initial ideas without any pressure. There is no writing. Pure free styling

hmm, I would say some of this looks alright but sometimes your anatomy gets like.. super fucked. (e.g. bottom left) And when you're judging off a single image and there's some fairly glaring problems, you just have to assume overall their level isn't too high. Because in theory someone more advanced would have caught those issues.

I agree with that, sometimes I just rush by, like the orange jacket work, I didn't care too much about complete accuracy, just wanted to try painting my sketch in this new style I'm trying out. I guess I'm not doing like a complete pipeline so my sketches are really still kinda just that, sketches. Been tackling painting for about a week or so, so mostly just trying to settle on a workflow/style I think. Probably needs at least another month before I start being more coherent with my work I suppose.

prebeg, beg, int, and adv/pro. Don't think too much about it most of these threads are for fun. Besides, you can't properly judge someone overall from these threads, maybe just specific stuff. For example someone might be good at one subject/fundie and then be a super beg at another. Only useful if you just want someone's opinion on a specific subject or drawing rather than your skill as a whole or if you want either an ego boost or get humbled. If you post a collage or progress pic with variety of subjects (figure drawing, imagination, still life, background/environment, line art, painting/rendering, etc) it could probably be more helpful than just picking one drawing that only shows a few fundies

Oh I mostly meant the edges of your shadow but it mostly depends on the weather or light source because sometimes shadows will be stark or sharp or very soft so I'm probably wrong. Maybe you could also change some hues of the shadow like when the skin is close to the metal you could give the skin a bit more of a yellow hue, I think you already know that though because you added blue highlights so maybe you are making a style choice in some areas. I think your lineart edges are pretty solid. Nice work keep it up anon

Sometimes. Inspiration is a weird thing. Something I doodle for hours and everything I do look like utter beg shit then out of nowhere I think of a cool pose and draw something that I think it's decent. I usually get rated /int/ but I know for sure my skills are not that good to leave beghood yet. It just happens that sometimes you get that insight that let you capture that thing inside your head and pour it down on paper.
