Does anyone know the name of a collection(s) of illustrated books for children. Similar to DK Discoveries Crusades where ancient civilizatoins would be explained with illustrations and especially isometric cities representations and Cutaway illustrations of important buildings?

Anything with a lot of these cutaway illustrations would be coll though.

Thank you all for all the boosk scanned and share and thank you in advance for thi information.

I don't think this the right answer, but it might interest you anyway. David Macaulay, author of The Way Things Work, wrote a series of books about the design and construction of ancient buildings. Three of his books - Castle, Mosque, and Cathedral - are available in a collected format entitled Built to Last, but there's also one about the Pyramids and another about a Roman city.

If that's what you want them for then why is it you want the book? No one here has a scanner that's better than the ones museums and auctions use for the paintings on their site. You'll be getting an inferior scan of something you can get better images of online.

>the paintings when JCL are still working with printers, bible illustrations and the college magazine that can't be found online. There's also various socks, cigarette ads that are also not available on google etc.
How do you even know they're in the book if you don't have them? They're online, if you spent as much time as you do begging for it you'd have all the paintings of his you wanted by now.

As the name implies, its techniques focusing on 3 different mediums (pen, pencil and digital). doesn't teach you how to draw since thats something you do on your own, but moreso techniques to help you put what you learn on paper. Any level of artist can use it in my opinion.

Though alot of what ive read so far really benefits from having a light table. Need to get one.

They had been posting their scans since 2012 on the EF forum, and then publically decided to post them openly in the last few years. They were the only chinese language scanner to do that, as most keep to closed scanning forums like EF, and they were also the only one doing proper 600DPI scans. The poster says that they were the scanning business partner and announced death via car crash. They posted several last scans.

So who knows? EF posters think it's legit. But Chinese are eccentric odd-balls who don't like public scans for some reason.

Seems like they should be, but I know for sure a bunch of those ladz hang out on /tg/ of all places. This would be a neat book; there just isn't enough chibi Battletech art that wasn't directly the result of professional stuff produced for Macross or Dougram.

Dishonored 2 is a good game artbook, just full page illustrations and no text.
Castlevania Netflix and Wolfwalkers are good animation artbooks.
Japanese art books are kinda random in quality. Sometimes they are just aimed at otaku and are literally just screenshots from the game/animation with tons of interviews and text. But then they will have a book full of raw animation gengas and storyboards that are fantastic for drawing from.

>@kitsunebi77 also nuked stuff except his own personal scans.
He was just downloading those 300DPI scans from raw manga sites that have been popping up since 2018. He didn't even continue getting them after 2020 as well, as there's hundreds still on those sites. And some of the material the raw manga sites were posting was sourced to e-hentai, which explains how the quality varied so much.

He'd also do annoying things like not upload the demo disc for books that came with them because he felt it wasn't important.

> I think a lot of his stuff was fortunately rehosted to Ex though, but check just in case.

None of the like 50 Wizardry books however. So someone has to bite the bullet and go and download every last one of those.

I'm new to the game and wanted to download some stuff off e-hent.
The problem is, that the site seems to be very weird, with their own shitty launcher and limited access to download stuff. They even couple that shit on a currency system that you get vor "activitiy"? lmao.

I found some very interesting artbooks, but im not very keen on downloading every single image one by one. I want to only grab those that seem the most helpful/informative.

What the best way to go on about this? Downloading these images and convert them into a pdf?
Already took a look into adobe acrobat reader for this task, but they paywalled that shit.
What software would you recommend to convert batch-images into pdf with a good enough editor that lets you edit the marginsizes, flip images, change the order etc?

happens all the time, reminds me of primary school when kids dont tell you things on purpose and when someone else wants to, theyre the first assholes go: DONT TELL THEM DONT TELL THEM
most people grow out of it around 14 years old, some clearly dont

Thanks! But it seems that this is a apk. file? For android?
Do you have to emulate that stuff or how does it work? Is there no pc native software/extension for this?
Are these firefox addons any good for the task?

Tachiyomi is for reading manga and it's only for Android. And you have to go into download settings and change it to download as cbr. Just transfer it on your pc. You can do at least this much work. You just have to press the download button in the app and wait. And there's no limit. It's the best way. I think many people do it that way. I don't know.

Guys, look ... the scripts you can get download the images one-at-a-time so you don't have to click and save every one. However, it still counts against your image download limit. Everybody* has a download limit, even people who have Hath perks; they just have a higher limit. The limit regenerates over time - pretty rapidly, in fact - so you can download a whole bunch of stuff, but only in bursts. Then wait a while, and your limit will regenerate.

Alternately, ask nicely in the thread. Maybe somebody already downloaded the book as an archive using their GP, or knows where one can find a PDF copy or saved copy somewhere else. It's worth a try.
