i got my biggest gains by sketching on my 3ds every day.
if phone is a comfy way for you to draw & allows you to draw a lot, then go for it. the only thing to keep in mind is that it can be kind of awkward to go from drawing small to working with a full sized tablet again, it usually takes me a day or so to adjust if i've mostly been working in flipnote
