My first drawing, and my latest drawing. I've been drawing for ~4 months. It sucks, yeah, but I won't stop, so I might get better eventually.

My progress is all over the fucking place. art style changes constantly I started drawing shit since 2013, I got a proper phone late 2016 and started digital shit. I made a DA/tumblr for some fukken reason. i deleted both and i didn't archive my old stuff. I started drawing porn for the next year or so before deciding to draw properly for once.
I learned anatomy and save up until I brought my first tablet. I sunk into depression last year because of I feel like shit everyday drawing sometimes help with it sometimes it makes it worse. I felt like I'm not improving at all hated the thought of making something for a while and pick up the pace again.

Was able to speed up my workflow a lot, feb painting took maybe 1/10th the time as painting on the left.

The biggest change is, I finally started to draw backgrounds, even if they are simplistic so far. Yay for people no longer floating in the air.

Divide the entire face into interlocking shapes. Not random islands of shapes. Than draw those with their average value again. I actually find them hard to draw with pencil so just try painting them directly.

Thanks! I don’t think I grew much, fundamentally between the two. For the right, it was an homage to pic related so I had a guide to moonlight affects local color. What sped up my workflow was this brush I found, it’s like a rectangle with one side hard and one side soft, so it sped up rendering a ton. I’m not sure where I got the brush from, I downloaded a bunch of brush packs and didn’t learn about organizing them until just this week. Still haven’t put any organization to my brushes tho.

Learn perspective for fucks sakes. You're drawings are so flat and lack volume. On top of that you only draw in one point perspective. Use more vanishing points so that it looks more cinematic. Learning anatomy is overkill for the gains that you want, just learn figure drawing and focus on gestural poses so that your drawing are more dynamic.

Also grow up and stop drawing weird tumblr/bara shit go read some history or learn about the world or some shit.

I think I can see what he’s talking about with some of your legs. Like the 2021 girl and the first early 2020 guy. The torso is angled one way, but then the legs don’t follow that and flatten out.
