why not just getting a bank transfer? Sorry I don't know how money works Its a serious question

>> No.5212417

because most of the people that ask those kind of questions are kids, so they don't have a real job, so they don't have an account in a bank like any real adult. Also since they don't work they are those kids that want to draw porn or erotic illustrations but don't have balls to be serious about the transactions so they want to go hidden with alias or be anonymous, that's why they always ask if paypal shows your real name

>> No.5213792

I do have a bank account, but how do transfers work if your client is from the other side of the world ? also what if you want to remain anonymous ?

That's some huge projection there, bud. The only reason I even have a paypal account is because paypal was THE thing to use when buying on ebay. But now that paypal isn't the the PB for ebay's J anymore everyone just so has a paypal account.

>> No.5214319

>>5214305
Yeah you need to prove thar you actually have a bussiness.
My plan is to just use a middleman like patreon, maybe even onlyfans lol since it has a pay to view thing so you can get the commission payment that way and then send the actual file through email or however that is done. You do need to provide identification to patreon and onlyfans but I guess its safer than just giving your name to every commissioner you get. I don't know I'm still trying to figure something out.

No you don't. I've had paypal business acct for almost 15 years now, ,mostly for selling on ebay (before ebay converted to it's new retarded payment system) and the only time I had to verify myself was when I requested the debit card. Even then they only asked for my SSN or TIN. Prior to that they never asked for a depost PLUS my id or any stupid shit like photos of me holding a passport.

Here's what I've concluded from platforms I've used:

>Patreon takes a platform fee, and transaction fee, as well as an extra dollar (if you use payoneer to deposit), which ends up taking about 15% of your income.

>SubscribeStar takes 13.4% plus $35 transfer fee

>PayPal takes 4-5% if you use invoices and another 4% if you do currency conversion.

>Gumroad takes 7.8% and that's it.

I'd say PayPal and Gumroad are the lesser or those evils.

In my country the true tax percentage is 75% and it definitely doesn't go to roads, libraries, schools or anything nice, it goes to corruption, cartels, sjw projects like gender neutral traffic signs, and bringing in terrorists directly from Syria to live on welfare.
