Constructions are there to train your hand eye coordination and your sense of proportions and perspective.

Science is in qoutes because it there is not actually academic literature or research supporting this, but basically what I'm saying is the keys to learning how to draw effectively rely on your ability to look, de-contruct, memorize, and then re-construct.

Like for example, if you wanted to draw big cats, would you spend weeks learning how to draw a tiger by copying it over and over again, or would you look at images of a tiger, try to break it down into simple shapes, memorize its form, then re-draw it a few times without relying on an image source, then going back and adjusting mistakes....?

The latter is the "science" im referring to.

Do I have to choose between creating SFW or NSFW content? I'm interested in both but it seems like once you remotely focus on the NSFW side you are locked into doing that due to many factors (unless you live in Japan). I imagine most artists that create NSFW are only focused on that content anyway but is it too much trouble to create content from both sides?

There's no reason you as a creator can't make both.
However, you should make separate accounts for NSFW and SFW. You can include links between them, but generally people follow NSFW accounts ON NSFW accounts, they don't want their friends knowing they follow the shitting dicknipples guy or whatever. Basically, NSFW fans won't be following SFW stuff either. Obviously this isn't a universal rule, some people don't care or don't have a twitter their IRL friends know or whatever, but generally it's beneficial to deliver NSFW in a separate, dedicated stream.

I got a little motivational push at the end of last month to draw more because of the houses. Seeing how close second and third place were towards the end encouraged me to put in some long drawing sessions to push my house ahead. It's just hard to make that motivation feel genuine when you know some jerk is just claiming a lazy sketch took them 12 hours.
