Does anyone have experience with art academies in Europe? how is it like? I really want to go to an art academy, and I'm still not sure which academies are good and which aren't. I'm aiming for painting. Any advice?

There's only a select few if you want to learn traditional realism, Florence academy of arts for exmple. To go to any of these will cost you a fortune and if you live somewhere education is free these will for sure not be included in your free options. Only art academy you will go to, assuming you're not super well off will be the ones that tells you to undress, smear color in your face and scream at birds.
