I have the 24 pro and the regular 16, the only downside is the resolution, but thats because I like to work in large pixel formats like 8000x7000. It's pretty nice though and it feels great to draw on. The size isn't bad but you'll definitely want to make your photoshop layout and workflow minimalistic so you get the maximum amount of screen space to draw on.

This is the problem I have with the wacom companion 2. Plus the screen seems to build up "hand oil" a lot and makes it hard to see the color on the screen accurately. I had a little glove to wear with it but always forgot to use it and I've lost it in recent years.
It gets so hot and warms up my whole room too which I guess on the one hand encourages me to take more frequent breaks but really ruins my workflow.

Once it eventually dies on me I'm gonna go back to non-screen tablets honestly.

It's not for that in my case. I travel because I like living in different countries. I'll settle down for a few months and draw on a desk, don't worry.

Although I did occasionally draw a few nice pieces at the train station or airport. But the main point is to have the freedom to go wherever I want.

It is shit, agreed, and I can't wait to get a galaxy tab for drawing. I guess I just learned to draw really fast lines in exactly the right way to get reasonable results. But I fully expect that moving to a better device will feel divine and my drawing skills will improve exponentially.

Wacom has 80% of the market share and great driver support with industry standard software. Imo it's a good buy, but why not just save up and buy the 22 HD?

Imo an intuous us best price wise if your monitor isn't shit, however if you want best price to performance I'd get a Wacom 24 pro. People on here will tell you that you don't need a 2000 dollars Wacom pro because they are salty, it's objectively superior to a regular drawing board.

>DISCLAIMER
>tools do not = skills

You can make good art on a napkin, if need be, ask yourself if you truly need a screen board, if you really can afford it and if your skills require it.

>other brands

Imo XP-pen is shit from personal experience though other people use it with no issues, Huion seems to work for friends of mine pretty well. If in doubt, buy Wacom, don't listen to haters, Wacom has 80% market share for a reason, same as Intel VS AMD, one is not always better than the other but you can look up specs/user tests and compile results to see what seems to be better.

Never trust reviews that got the product for free, it's not a good idea.

However an intuos is best

I was one of the generation of people who used a Wacom screenless tablet for a decade. what I didn't realize is that it was stunting my growth artistically. not until I got an iPad pro and procreate did I see the light. Simple stuff like pinch to zoom and rotate and an intuitive liquify tool are game changers. Not to mention an accurate digitizer and great high-res color accurate screen. I didn't know that I didn't need Photoshop and a keyboard to paint and draw. Also having 500 layers is pointless. Also the arm chip in an iPad pro has zero lag at any brush size and u can't say that about Photoshop with any Intel chip. I haven't touched my 2000 dollar MacBook pro since I got my used iPad pro.

No one uses 500 layers. The rest I agree with, but this one merely makes you sound really bitter that you have a layer limit. And the part about the keyboard seems a bit disingenuous too. It's fine to draw without a keyboard, but for certain types of work I certainly enjoy having hotkeys for all my favourite brushes, instant colourpicking both from the active layer and the composite image, the colour wheel, the hsl sliders, and a dozen other little things. It breaks my flow to have to open stupid menus or move my pen from the spot I'm working on.
