I'm that anon from several threads ago. since no one actually deliver this book, so I decided to buy it and dissemble page by page from the cover. I'm tired of waiting!! So I learned about how to take photos on cloudy days since my scanner isn't big enough for the book (from the dimension I saw on Amazon).

I’ve seen brush sets happen. Honestly the best way to implement it is to build trust with each other by passing things forwards and back. If someone posts something relevant to your interest try to give something back. Keep doing this and you; end up hitting each other up when you find useful shit because it benefits both of you to keep each other sweet. I have this book and the dean cornwell one by the same publisher.
The dean cornwell one is very good, every illustration is either full or half page and it has pencil work.
The mead schaeffer one is much worse. There are some full page reproductions but most are small and slightly blurry. Disappointing because it was double the price of the dean cornwell one due to rarity.
Apologies but I am not in a position to scan or photograph the books properly and don't want to destroy them.

I would advise you go to Heritage Auctions and sign up so you can see full resolution images of Mead Schaeffers art (make sure to click "past auctions" after you search or it will show 0 results). Every high resolution image in the Mead Schaeffer book is taken from heritage auctions.

Not op but I really like the authors blog showing tons of old animation art but his books have very underwhelming art examples. They are minimalist and almost abstract. It looks like a graphic design artists work rather than someone who worked on animations for 40 years.
I understand the strength of the simple statement for demonstrating ideas but half the books should be practical examples of production work as well.

I'm reading Drawing with the right side of the brain as a complete beginner and I'm really impressed. Entering "R-Mode" happened within 30minutes of drawing an upside down image and I draw my hand afterwards and i saw it in edges and distances, shapes and shapes made from edges... like I enetered the matrix or some shit.

I've experienced a similair sensation in gaming when I was on shrooms and also playing halo when I was really good, sometimes I would get into a flow and see things perfectly but think less.. i was meant to go to sleep but im super alert now

Several of the japanese/anime books in the torrent exist as either fully translated or incomplete/half translation on exhentai, found two last week while doing something else but didn't think that was noteworthy but now i stumbled upon another and figured it might be worht to mention. this time it was houtengeki's how to draw sexy girls and it had 76~ pages fully translated which is about 2/3 of the book i think.

might be worth going through exhentai and updating the torrent, if anyone cares.

Depends on the book. Paul Richers book is best for reading while Gottfried Bammes book is more visual and lends itself well for study/copy(also the translation is a bit too dry, but still good)
