The same as the 10s. I think there would be a greater music shift in use of anime than style wise.

hair would be even simpler, even less contrast, but eyes would resemble 80's again. from 00's to 10's the eyes change proportions "back" to how they looked in the 80's.

zero change
80's and 90's were different because the main medium was paper
when anime cartoons got popular, 2000's happened due to the shift to screens.
2010's is the final form of anime and will stay that way until we move on to a different medium.

Since digital makes everything quicker to produce which means less time is put into making it look "good", i think it's going to look even more simplified and less detailed. More triangular hair instead of strands, minimal shading or just none, noses are gone completely, same for eyelashes, fingernails, bottom lips, earlobes. Lines will be so thin and too perfect. And facial expressions will be nonexistent.
That or just 3d models and let ai do grunt work.

Okay maybe i wouldn't say less time to making it look good, just less care into details will be made because the general audience's attention spans will be so short that they'll just glance at the image, like it, and move on to the next one.

It would be really nice to one time have this discussion with people who actually like the new stuff. It gets pretty repetitive otherwise:
>nu bad!
>nose where?!
>AWW SATURATION!
>where is the 5 layers of shading?!
>why aren't the lines black?!
It is also a question of who are we talking about, because there will always be some underlying shared things, but mostly the styles will be wildly different from creator to creator.

It was in terms of laidback storytelling. But 2000s was Japan playing around with digital. It was late 90s designs with bad 3D and “I don’t know wtf I’m doing in editing text and images” era. Because of this era was the transitional era, it felt like Japan didn’t give a shit what they animated with the leftover budgets they made and as a result we got a couple hidden gems.

People will look back and easily tell what music the 10s were about. The 2000s I’ve noticed the guitar was heavily used in a lot of tracks. Even if you’ve never heard the song before you know then the guitar would que to finish the song off. It’s very repetitive.

And in the late 10s to 2025 it’s going to be zoomer future funk slash Jcore style music.

Even though it is impossible to encompass all the features and styles of an era, this one uses very well a lot of the thought process and ideas shared at the time drawing the characters.
It also looks like this guy drew the 2020 face first, meaning how he would actually draw something now, and only tweaked it for the rest (look at some of the lines of the face how they don't change) I think this makes it very effective and actually documentative.
even if there aren't all the features in an era here in every one you can instantly recognize it as something from that time, and something that fits very well.
I like how he didn't go too hard on coloring them all differently or using special lines, focusing the most about the substance before anything else.
