It doesn't look like it's interacting with the rest of the drawing at all and you just sorta pasted it over the leg. Also giving her super detailed rendered body but really cartoonish anime face is weird. This pic seems to be in the ballpark of what you want to do. Compare it to yours.

1 the colors are terrible. Your highlights are pure white and the shadows are same tone just darker. Ever heard "warm light cool shadow"? I'd recommend you to figure out why is that so rather than to simply follow the meme. Light source has a color, secondary light also has a color etc.

2 your lighting is weak too. you have absolutely no sense of where is the light coming from, left tit is lit from the right, right tit is lit from the left, same issue with her thighs and calves, the sword gets strong light from the left and her pauldrons get light from the right. and her face is not lit at all.

Where's the lamp, left or right? chose a consistent direction of lighting and stick to it.

There's no strong sense of shadow either. even her ass cheeks and neck get light somehow while they really should be in the shadow.

You can be the best artist in the world and your art could still look like shit if your style is not upto-par or the reverse of having really liked art which was drawn by an absolute butterfingers.
As you can see, the drawing on the left has crap anatomy, and the art style is heavily inspired/borderline copied from old/"muh retro" cartoons. Meanwhile the one on the right has pretty good anatomy and unique enough of a style (also the colors are less flat but thats a separate topic)

This. I spent the past 4 years in art school fucking around. The only times I levelled up were in the summer when I studied on break. Now that I've graduated and spent more time trying to improve, I'm coming into my own as an artist. Finding tiny successes here and there too. It's slightly encouraging. I've learned more in the past year of self-study than I did spending 4 years stuck in a good-for-nothing school.

Seeing other peoples' progressions is enjoyable to me, but what salt is doing is disingenuous. It's public ego-stroking, and doesn't represent the type of progression what people should expect from their own artistic journeys. If you're in a vacuum and able to study uninterrupted for 12 hours a day without going mad, power to you. Life doesn't work that way for some. It's okay to go your own pace. Art is a marathon, not a sprint.
