I would if I could
many pros draw on top of 3d model all the time but they have the knowledge and the skill to translate stiff 3d doll into well gestured content
Im dogshit so when I trace it looks terrible

Using design doll isnt cheating but i feel like its a bad idea.

I tried it out once but you have to learn an entierly new skillset to make it work and it chews up so much time. Instead of taking all the time to learn the program and learn how to make good poses and such i feel it was better and faster to just learn gesture.

>> No.5121767

>>5121752
You are meant to gesture out the design doll pose you make, and then fix it up without the doll reference. This prevents most of the stiffness.

>NOOOO YOU CAN'T TRACE DESIGN DOLL
You can, but you waste time with setting up the 3d scene. But, oh well, if you suck at drawing, there's nothing else you can do, can you anon.

The artist that made that image did that most likely for a commission. Which was paid by a normie, who doesn't care about the process, but the end product.

If the final image looks good, and is what the customer wants, then normies don't care.

What I like to do with clip studios 3D models is pose them first, then move them to the side and draw my foundation figure next to it. This allows me to get the fluidness I want while keeping the proportions in sync.
