Fix the eye focus as they both have a thousand yard stare, unless that was what you were aiming for, general head shape and and body to head ratio, they are small changes but since they are also the main things viewers will look at first you need to be extra careful about them.

Pic related, I personally have never had any interest in drawing nsfw art. I know it rakes in the big bucks, but it's not what I want to draw. I'd much rather draw more story driven art or a furry character with a sword or something, rather than a furry character getting fucked.

this looks really nice, the colours really pop from the thumbnail. it reminds me a little bit of Akihiko Yoshida's work with the heavy hatching and loose watercolour wash underneath. I think you could maybe darken the values on the thigh so that the hand with the pointing finger sticks out more, right now it kind of gets lost in to the green-on-green.

I think that association has weakened a bit in recent years as the fandom has moved closer to the mainstream. It's still very much a thing in most of the internet, but the intensity of most people's sentiments have decreased.

SFW furry art is still quite popular, and you're not going to be starving for commissions if you don't draw porn (assuming you're decent and gain a reasonable following). One of the nice things about the furry community is that they don't shortchange artists, because every furry ever has tried to draw their fursona and then turned around and said "hmm yep, I will pay any amount of money to never have to do this again"

Depends on the character, species, setting, etc. No design choice exists in a vacuum. The characters in BNA have a wide variety of face shapes, although with Michiru, I'm going to disagree with >>5106855 and say it's more about keeping the main character cute and relatable. Long muzzles, like other long, narrow features, don't reflect the sort of kawaii youth that's typical of this type of anime MC.

You see it reflected in the rest of the series, too. Characters like Shirou and Nazuna (in her wolf form) have long muzzles, narrow eyes, and sharp angles, because long features are anime shorthand for cool, elegant, and mature. Nina's a young, naive, playful girl, so her muzzle's short and cute, and she has a taller, more neotenous forehead with bigger eyes. And so on.

What? It doesn't look like that at all. The first post's shape is too irregular to be a photo, and in the second one, the brush strokes are plainly visible. The chain links just look like a two-colour shadow and highlight thing, which you could easily do by drawing a dark segment, copying the layer, changing the colour, and moving it a few pixels.

They obviously copied and pasted parts of it to save time, as you can see some areas that repeat, but it's not a photo.

I would go for snout 2, I think clearing the muzzle of the cheek reads better and avoids some awkward tangents. Making it longer wouldn't hurt, but I don't think it's really necessary if you want the character to look like a cat. As for what the anons above said, I do think that the longer chin makes it look strangely human, if you want it to look more animal-like just bringing up the jaw should help a lot. Right arm's a bit short, and the hand's shape is flat and awkward. Also feels like you're missing that meaty curve that connects the thumb to the palm and wrist. I like her expression, the clean linework on her face and upper body, and the sense of heft you seem to've given her breasts. If there's a nude version, I hope you let them sag normally and don't just keep them pushed up like that.

I got a really dumb question to ask but. Could I get canceled on twitter if I try and draw a furry character with a gun? I can somewhat understand if I were to draw one with a maga hat on, but if I were to do it, it would most likely take place in a fictional world or maybe some form of government in our world like a navy seal or KSK or something like that. I know i'm rambling like an autist but i'm worried people may think I hold opinions that I don't. Take pic related for example. The artists is from South Korea, but if he was from the West. Do you guys think twitter hate mobs would try and cancel him?

So to avoid unnecessary drama should I try and make it fantasy based like Mad Max or Borderlands. Or should I just avoid drawing a character with guns altogether?

I don't necessarily think so unless you're purposefully trying to get political and/or evoke a response like that with your pieces. There's ALOT of military/gun furry art (that are all really fucking well drawn typically) and they don't get any sort of mob hate on them of the sorts you're speaking of from what I've seen. If anything the only kind of attention is how accurate the gun is and such.
If you're using actual establish political imagery and shit in your pieces like a MAGA hat or whatever, you're way more likely to draw attention to yourself than say doing a anthro version of a country's military force or whatever. It might also help just to type out your intentions (I really like the XM8 rifle and wanted to do a piece with it!) though people are stupid and might still have a problem regardless.

Here's the deal with twitter canceling that nobody here will tell you:

A) It won't happen to you if you avoid hot topics. don't talk about/ draw political stuff and 99% of the cancelers will disappear. That basically means don't be a racist/sexist fuckstick and you're good to go.

B) if you do get canceled, literally just don't respond to it. Don't delete the offending tweet, don't apologize, don't even acknowledge it. Just walk through it.
If you delete the tweet, then the rumor mill spins up and it goes from "artist X drew a MAGA hat!" to "Artist X is a trump supporter!" to "Artist X is a racist!" If you apologize, then you'll be seen as insincere. If you defend yourself, then you're adding fuel to the fire and only attracting more people with nothing better to do but argue.
If you ignore it completely, you starve them of ammunition and they'll quickly realize you're not worth the effort. The internet has a blessedly short attention span, use that to your advantage.
