Drawing porn absolutely is the lowest denominator, but how much gain you get from it depends on your approach. On a basic level you an appeal to people with minimal knowledge and skill and you can do that forever because the bar is low, but on the other hand drawing good porn generally involves gaining a strong understand of form, anatomy, appealing shapes and effects and stylization. Basically everything you need for anything else you want to do. Well, you won't learn design unless you're constantly making OCs.
Like art as a whole, if you want to improve you absolutely can, it just takes effort to try and do things you're not comfortable with until it becomes comfortable. You could get by drawing basic cartoon fanart porn, or you could go much, much further.

I wish I could show more drawings than painting but they don't show very well in this format. I've been mostly drawing the past few months and it's nice to see myself improving and grasping forms better. Hit a HUGE wall in the summer and barely drew. I think my draftsmanship improved a lot this year, and I'm having a much easier time drawing people (though they still look like stiff ugly weirdos, I'll improve). I stagnated as a painter to a good degree, I think, but there's been a lot of experimentation and trying out new things. Loomis, like the other anon suggested, is an artist from the early 20th century that published several books on drawing that are very accessible to beginner artists. Not her but the ability to draw with form isn't easy to get at all. You basically need to gain the ability to answer the question "does this drawing look like a 3D object?" and if the answer is "no", you also need to be able to answer the questions "why doesn't it? what's wrong with it?"

This is actually one of the most difficult subskills in drawing but it's also one of the most important ones (for more realistic artstyles at least). There's no real easy way to get it and I don't think there's any book or video series that really gives you an intuition for drawing with 3D form. What comes closest is perspective books, which will teach you how to draw cuboids in 3D space, but not organic forms. It helps a bit but it's far from the end goal.

A sense for form is normally just something you might pick up eventually when you draw a lot. Learning art is tough like that.

A lot of aspects of drawing are like this, actually. Besides form there's color, value, shape, gesture, etc. etc. that are really just an intuition you need to develop yourself.

It's a crutch. That is, something that will help you when you can't do without it, but only hinder you when you can. There's nothing wrong with using 3d models to practice and help yourself grasp thinking in 3dimensions, but don't fall back on it every time, make an effort to create the same 3-dimensional feeling without models.

Thank you for proofing my point, these are all made with separate code requiring you to mostly start from scratch each time, instead of a single program that can make a new one without needing new additional input. The point I'm trying to make is that with a generator you can turn a single effort(120minutes) into an infinite amount of art without needing put in those 120minutes ever again.
