From what i understand, the process of making your art into a token involves a digital contract. In that contract, you define the initial price and if you want, a royalty % if it gets resold.

The way it's set up now, there are a handfull of marketplaces where you upload.
You can auction or set a flat price in a crypto called ETH.
Transactions happen between your crypto wallet and the buyer and the exchange sits in the middle like ebay.
I'm still learning, but if i can sell more of my pieces, i'll do what it takes

What's stopping me from just claiming all kinds of art that's already out there with NFT? What's stopping me from slightly editing NFTd artworks, creating an NFT token and selling them as my own? What real problem does this actually solve?
The whole thing appears to hinge on the fact that people accept that the token *is* the artwork instead of something attached to it, which I don't believe will happen.

Pretty interesting idea now i can see what what the token part of it is about.
So if i scan or video some of my fantasy pieces and make them into a token, i use an app to format it to become like a crypto asset.
