around 2009 unfortunately I spent most of my time on these boards on /v/ and /po/ and only glanced through occasionally.

Unfortunately /ic/ now seems to be filled with kids who don't care about improving their art seriously.

Started browsing in 2012, and left around 2017? Took a break from 4chan because I felt like its toxic mentality and general retardation was starting to infect my mindset. Started to browse again this year.

Honestly, this board isn't that different from what I remember before I left. People are still retarded, ngmi and pyw are still everyone's favorite replies, and even the sticky hasn't changed in years. The only real differences I see now vs then, is that there's more coomers now and that I don't see anyone mention Kr0npr1nz here anymore.

It's more like the glory days of the internet, if we're talking about back then. You didn't have an entire generation of kids ironically behaving like retards in order to mask their real retardation and contributing nothing but eroding everything. The overall attitude towards learning and places like conceptart.org (when it was good) simply can't exist anymore in any capacity larger than private discord groups or something, but even those get infiltrated and get very gay as well.

Yeah I noticed lol. I haven't been keeping up with anyone for a while, but it makes me wonder if the paradigm shift in /ic/ to have way more coomers is partly because of the Kr0npr1nz tracing fiasco. I'm guessing that it dethroned Kr0n and made an opening for Sakimi to be the most popular here. And because everyone on /ic/ wants to be like the most popular artist, coomers became more prevalent. And now we have the current state of /ic/, which is almost dominated by coomer threads on a daily basis. Maybe I'm overthinking it. I am kinda retarded ngl.
