I think he gets the occasional freelance gig but he doesn’t have a studio job and idk if his art nets him a stable income. He’s already put so much time into art so it’d be sad if he couldn’t find some form of employment in the industry at this point.

He's just phoning it in at this point. You can't treat drawing like a numbers game really, you have to put thought and effort into each thing you do. If you look at Volen's instagram stories (he's been posting daily) all of his studies and sketches are sloppy and half-way done, like a chore. It's the same with handwriting, if you never mentally push yourself to write prettier you'll never improve. You can write your whole life and still have shitty hand-writing
