I think Miura's art in Berserk is quite good in terms of overall dynamics although you could say he's just average compared to some other mangaka's when it comes to anatomy. In my opinion it means that Berserk has really good fundamentals if you want to study action mangas or visual narratives because it embodies that spirit quite well. Even in the very first volume it is relentless and fun to read.

But as I said there are far more accomplished draftsmen in the history of manga. Goseki Kojima, Ryoichi Ikegami, Hiroaki Samura to name a few. However, drawing better panels doesn't mean the action is as good or it is depicted as well as in Berserk.

This was drawn was he was around 16, Miura's first manga that he sold in his school when he was 10 (Miuranger) was never re-released to the public, we're not even sure if Miura still owns copies of it, so unless if one of Miura's schoolmates in his late 50s still owns Miuranger and is willing to sell it, we'll never see it.

People forget that Miura's art was average in the first chapters.

Considering how consistent it was throughout his early works, I would think it's a intentional choice. It looks wonky but the distance is pretty much the same in Abara and all of Blame!, so it's not like he's just fucking up the proportions by accident in the same way every time.
