I'd wish for someone to redline this. Also, any tips or criticisms. It's supposed to be a meme drawing, but it doesn't feel right. don't half ass the neck and shoulders. I assume you have practiced painting heads from reference before but pay as much attention to the neck- shoulders too.
Maybe don't start 100% from imagination, say you can have a ref of the lighting/head angle/ hair etc but te rest is from imagination.

Love the colors. Eyes and lips seem fine. Two things I noticed are the shading on the tip of the nose seems to want a small tweak to look natural and the hair above the ear, while technically correctly flowing, I think look kind of fluffy/fuzzy compared to the rest of the hair, a bit weird imo

The sad thing about what you're trying to do is that you're doing it for money. Art is meant to be given, NOT sold. If you're trying to make money off of it, you most likely are doing it for the wrong reasons. Give your art away for free. It's a lot easier to make and there's more freedom in doing so. People are more likely to like your work that way and give you money. If you're succesful, great. If not, at least you weren't in it for the money.

I'm taking part in a /tg/ secret santa, and I wanna draw a warhammer 40k theme christmas card/poster. The idea being various characters of the various races in the universive (Human, Ork, Space Elf, Alien, etc) standing around a christmas tree each doing a little thing (Character X giving a present to character Y, character Z opening a present, Character A about to smash character Z over the head with his new present, etc). The problem is im afraid im over ambitious. Ive only really drawn single character in poses, and have never drawn something that sounds that dynamic. I know in a proper piece the perspective of various characters is important, and the only type of perspective I have worked on has been on single characters (Looking up at the character, down at them, on the side, that basis jist). Anyone have tips or good books that I can study to get a better idea of what I should do and aim for the perspective? My goal isnt to have a masterpiece, but something that is presentable, even if it has a few flaws.

I've recently been trying to find a method of drawing that doesn't require me to use references so constantly. Also I'm still trying to find a style idk how I'm doing though. I think I'm refining a process though considering this took me a few minutes and before it would've probably taken me closer to an hour or two. Been studying the bucci course but the cheeks and the jaw are quite hard, any help?

I did a bit more of the proko anatomy course and practiced a bit of gesture drawing and tried redrawing the post on the right, Im much happier with it.
Is it normal this took me about 2 hours to do though? I guess I struggled a lot but seems like a lot of time for a sketch of 3 characters

Yep it’s normal to take a while when you’re new to drawing stuff. You definitely get faster the more you practice. I remember an anon saying a simple colored pose piece took him around 10 hours or so, that’s how it goes

This is more a /beg/ question, but what materials would you need to use to reproduce pic related in such vivid colours as the original on paper ?
i was thinking of doing a fineline for the sketch and black shading while using gel pens for the colour, would this be the right way to go about it ?
its the first big project i want to do, recreating the cover art in my own book but with even more vivid colours.

can someone explain this to me. he keeps changing from box to oval when he makes the body. does he use both, do you guys use both?
