my real upload speed is like less than 100 kb/s, so I'm seeding with a super cheap mini server instead which has like 2 mb/s total upload. also my mega uploader is fugged to the degree it takes like 2 minutes to upload one 4 mb image which is why I haven't been able to make any mega links.

to download magnet links, download and install a bittorrent client such as https://www.qbittorrent.org/
Click on the magnet link and it will ask if you want to open, click yes, blah blah, then click okay on the resulting dialogue (you can also select what files you do or do not want to download).

Then your download will start downloading. Torrents basically upload and download at the same time if someone else who also wants a piece of it tries to grab the file when you're also downloading. Thus, torrenting is actually usually faster than stuff like mega, if you have people who are decently generous about their upload speed or they're dead because it relies on people to seed in order to grab the files.

After finishing the download, you can stop seeding tab and hitting delete on the torrent but don't delete your files.

However, downloading western movies and tv shows often isn't safe because people like the RIAA etc get big money from movies and get paid to lurk in big torrent swarms and send threats to ISPs who pass them onto you. Because when you upload, people also see your IP. When you're just torrenting stuff from anons like me or anime or books or art stuff or whatever, it doesn't really matter because none of us care and none of us are paid or have the money or time to be insane about it (plus IP addresses can be used for nothing, a normal website will see your IP every time you load a page).
