Does manga have people who can compete with legendary comics artists like Moebius, Mignola, Jim Lee and Frank Miller or it's all utter shit for poor iq weebs?

It’s crazy how Murata shits on literally every single comic book artist out there while drawing their main subject matter. His Spider-Man pieces are absolutely amazing, having so much life and movement to them. They’re compositionally excellent, and the colors are vivid and pleasant. Then you look over at say Jim Lee, and the dude’s pencils are the only good thing, and still not as good as Murata cause it’s never a dynamic action pose, but the character “standing around looking cool” instead, AND, he only ever pencils and rarely inks and never colors. 90% of his work is usually ruined when finalized because pf this. Meanwhile, Murata did it all alone, and did it way better than a team of 3+ people ON a tighter deadline.

To answer OP. Yes, there are severa that completely shit all over your capeshit heroes. It should be blasphemy that you even mentioned Moebius in the same sentence, AND it shows how much of a pleb you are, since you failed to mention any of the absolutely incredible European comic artists, like Antonio Federici.

There basically is no story, it's just a spectacle manga. If you don't like spectacle, then go somewhere else. Nobody is invested in OPM for the story, we just want to see what sort of madness Murata will come out with next.
But thinking that comics and manga are a fad is patently retarded. Unless you were using the word without knowing what it means, in which case you're concentrated retarded.

The Legendary comic artists you listed, at their peak, can never be outmatched by the comic artists in Japan since Tezuka.

But then the this is the best of Western comics offers to it's loyal 50 year old readers.

A random sampling of October 2020 list. Imperial Japan probably read Batman in the 1950s, during occupation, and now their children's children can still go back to batman as introduction to western great comics.

You can argue Batman is great, you'd be right. But comics will forever tied to these heroes in spandex and manga just goes into trends until Japan as a country is wholly replaced by Globalists.

But comic artists are forced to draw these superheroes until we all reach Utopia or Hell. Absolute stagnation lmao

desu Chris Ware is overrated in the artistic sense imo. I enjoy and appreciate his stories but the drawings look like something out of an ikea manual. Completely boring, sterile and devoid of life. It's a real shame too because if you look at his sketchbooks you can see that he clearly knows how to draw. In terms of american comic artists I personally prefer Mazzucchelli's art to Ware's. The others you listed are good but it's hard to compare them to Murata because the aim of their work is so different. Murata's goal is to draw dynamic and fluid action that excites the reader and I think he handily outclasses most western artists who try to do something similar. Artists like Pedrosa are more focused on things like mood and atmosphere and not high octane action like Murata.

I also prefer Mazzucchelli to Ware. He has two of the most solid entries in the history of the capeshit, and two of the greatest indie comics as well. Asterios Polyp is arguably in the top 25 greatest comics/manga of all time.
I think Chris Ware, despite his crazy layouts and bright colors, and as you say, sterile nature, is actually pretty subtle. I listed him alongside a bunch of colorists because of this subtlety. I'm not done with just yet, but already I think he's great.
As for Murata, he is very talented but his approach isn't interesting to me anymore. There are other mangaka and western artists that handle action sequences in a manner more to my liking, even if he is obviously technically better. I haven't even looked at OPM since 2018 at the latest. I would actually like to see Pedrosa crank out a full cinematic action comic, given his history in animation.
I don't really compare them to each other, but I do value them on their strengths. All of the so-called "god-tier" artists I listed are highly skilled in multiple fields of art.
