I'll tell you what I did to get /int/. Skim through loomis and vilppu. Do some pose drawings alongside proko for as long as you need. Then I reference Krenz's anatomy while drawing poses off references. If it's totally off, I trace and try again to draw it. I flip the canvas to see any mistakes. I rotate the canvas to see mistakes. I do this until I can replicate poses. Then I grind poses for a year about four a week, especially poses that people better than me are also doing. I grind the fuck out of hands. I also render some statue faces and do some studies of Ruan Jia faces and photographs. If you can't render faces start with cubes and spheres and then do still life and then do faces.

Mods are flakey and often delete anything they don't like. Truth is, like half of anythign tagged "artbook" is likely to get flagged. Just upload around 10pm EST and it should be good. The mods are at their least active at the time. tag it with "Artbook". As long as it's drawings it should be fine.

I'm also interested in the Monochrome Illustration Techniques book but only if it seems like the text is useful. If its just "step 1 do what the picture shows, step 2 draw the rest of the horn!" then I really dont care for it.

So 13dl just dropped some new Japanese strategy guides, and I've come to a few conclusions as to their source. The main theory is that these are Chinese scans that have been made years ago for piracy.Among the books scanned are very recent ones, released in 2018 or even 2020. The MSX Catalogue was released in 2020. That and other gudiebooks use the file format of "scan0000.jpg" which implies it's all the same scanner. That means all these books were scanned by the same scanners.

It's not the weibo girl who scans a lot of mecha material. She is responsible for a lot of scans, but her style is different. She uses a different file naming system and she will scan the book spine as a separate image while these don't do that.

Next, I made requests for several of these books to 13dl, who replied "not available on any sites". Now suddenly they're available? Implies the scans are recent.

I believe this is a group of Chinese scanners who operate like the Weibo girl by scanning books and then making money from baidu downloads. The 13DL guy is on their forums and saves up the releases.
