Help bros. Im learning perspective and theres one thing i dont get. How do you convey the exact position of an object? In this pic for example, the small cube could be sitting at the center of the big cube, but it could also be floating above the cube and aligned on the front side. You get what i mean? Maybe its just my impression? I just did this after watching a 10 min video.

Rendering is definitely your biggest weakness atm, you should do some focused stufy on it. Rendering has some really fast gains if you do studies compared to most other aspects of drawing.

Fully understand what you're meant to be aiming for and how it feels, then try it digitally. Your style of line art is unappealing. Perhaps try drawing thicker lines, with bigger line weight variation.

It's 100% from imagination. I've posted this drawing here like three times before. First I posted gestural sketch with a bit of basic construction for major masses. Then I posted anatomy and gun construction. And then pic related with clothes. My posts were mostly ignored. Personally I think you should finish it up. Don't spend too much time polishing this.

You are not at the level yet where you can draw solely from imagination. But keep practicing.

Every step causes the the pose to become more and more stiff. Try using a reference and doing a gesture drawing, and then construct over it.

I should note this is from following Proko's version of the Loomis method, maybe I should check out the books. It's like for example when he's drawing a front-facing view he's not even really using the starting circle, more like he's using a sort of square inside the circle. So why not start with a square, what's the point of the circle? For the front facing view at least. I worked the fuck out of this but I'm not happy with the colors. Piss yellow doesn't scream "dentist" to me. any ideas? I really don't want to do like a full painting. I think just one or 2 colors should be fine but maybe these aren't the right colors and maybe i colored too many things.
