Alla prima is a terrible book for painting. Atleast for digital. Just look at the contents. Its strictly for trad shit and its technical about it. Do not waste your time with this book unless ur diving into oil painting.

There are principles to construction. Corners, Cross-contours, things you need to pay attention so you can rotate it from your memory.

Alla Prima is a great book, but its not the only book you should use, and it def won't help you with painting from imagination.
