Really the safest thing to do is just vet every buyer like they have a good reason to kill you and don't give them anything more than is absolutely necessary.

Cats are always really hard to get right for some reason. I think it's because their flatter features make the uncanny valley a bit larger overall. I'd probably make the muzzle bigger/wider so that it's more expressive, because I'm pretty sure that sharp taper is what's causing it to look strange.

This could just be the angle but animals have less forehead than humans and their eyes tend to be set further above the center of the head; they'd be in the correct spot without the apparent large forehead. I can see what you're going for stylistically with the chin but since everything else is semirealistic it just makes everything look pinched in even more around the muzzle.
Also, and this goes for all 3D: it's easier to tell what's going on for crit purposes if you post pre-render and wireframes.

I actually tried those two aproches to this type of character and the result came out orders of magnitude more creepy. The first try at this was more anime (especially in the lower half) and i came out knightmare-ish. Kind of the same goes for the wider muzzle, jsut makes it looks much worse than it is now. I'll try to fiddle with this a little more, but if I might just leave it close to how it is now as I'm making this for a coomer game and don't need to look perfect, will have other chars from other species that I think I can do much better than feline

This does not have the same merger of human/animal facial dimensions as the 2D character that was posted. It's also a fan model. The actual Judy Hopps model from Disney is even further away from having any human facial features because they don't try to give it a defined jawline.
In the drawing the muzzle is suggested with a bit of shadow(that doesn't even make a huge amount of logical sense, but in a way you can ignore), in 3D it has to be a complete shape that connects to the jawline and cheekbones in some way. In 3D, that shape is going to look *weird*.

Main thing that stands out is that the nose seems like it's pushed too low/the bridge of the nose is angled down too low. It's a bit concave. I'd bring it up a bit and see if that's enough.

If you're looking for some decent 3D examples I'd take a look at ruaidri's work, they're one of the only artists I know who's really managed to nail appealing furries in the 3D sphere.

The image in >>4872642 is the vague suggestion of a muzzle stuck on a mostly human, anime proportioned face and it works because 2D gets the luxury of being able to just vaguely imply forms. The lighting suggests a form that'd quickly stop looking normal when you either rotate it or light it more accurately. I haven't said anything about making it "half human half animal on an outer layer", whatever that means, just saying that because something works in a drawing doesn't mean it works in 3D, especially not when it's a three-tone drawing vs. traditional, realistically lit 3D.

I've done a couple commissions since I started offering them about a week ago. The first one was $50 for a clean sketch, totally sfw. The second was from the same guy, $100 to draw the same character in a similar pose, but completely naked. That was a full color drawing. Like I said you're getting closer, but you'll improve massively faster if you just take a few days to really hash out your knowledge of proportions, anatomy, and gesture.

When you're starting out you'll probably sit in the $50-$75 range for a full color piece, but you'll find that number will go up quickly if you're consistent and active.

I'd recommend doing more figure studies and drawing from life as much as you can. Be careful you aren't just copying visual tropes you see in anime. You need to work on grasping 3d form and developing good gesture skills. Also...absolutely draw what you enjoy BUT...furries generally don't find this type of anthro appealing. If you desire furry appeal then work on making your characters lean more animal. Actually give them muzzles and don't slack on drawing lots of prominent spikey fur accents. More Disney and less anime, basically. But draw what you enjoy, always. You'll find fans if you're working hard and improving and drawing what you enjoy. Just giving some food for thought.

the general rule is big eyes, small noses, sharp snouts, but there are exceptions to every one of those that still look unmistakably kemono. Best you can do is surround yourself with art you like, try to isolate the aspects you like the most and emulate them yourself. if you only like and look at kemono, your style will probably inevitably look more eastern.

Guys seriously how do I exploit furries for maximum amount of cash? What are the easiest ways to milk the community? For example, is it best to just draw a bunch of the most popular pop culture characters as rule 34? If so, which characters are best to hook the most autistic patrons which will pay the most money?

I want to run this like a video game company does: locate the biggest whales and manipulate them with semi-legal gambling psychology, loot boxes, shit like that. Perhaps a loot box system where the customer pays a bunch of extra money to have a random outfit drawn on their character, idk.

Point is I need to bring something to the furry community that isn’t already there so I can capitalise.

I doubt it, for starters Liki is way better in terms of technical skill, also her linework is much different than rykanokk's. Liki's is more softer and has a sharper edge, where ryk's is more harder and has a more darker and flatter ege, I'd say if anything Ryk is probably just a wannabe who did a pretty good job replicating Liki's style. And since Liki is inactive she(?) doesn't have to worry about any controversy, for stealing an art style.
