What are the 3D software that top artists use?
I feel like we're being left behind by just painting when every top tier use all the technology disponible

>> No.4865995

3ds max - modeling. Substance painter - texturing. Marmoset - rendering.
Got more stupid questions? Like: "hurr durr can i just use blender?)))".

The stupid questions thread exists for a reason, fuck's sakes.

You probably want ZBrush. I would start with the free CoreMini version to see if sculpting is something you like, and then upgrade to Core if you want to open up your options. 3DSMax, Maya and Blender are great choices as well. If you want to be cheap you can also get started in Blender, but it's not something top artists use very often.

t. doesn't use 3D for 2D but as an end in itself. Don't listen to this guy unless you wanna go full 3D.

So wlop finally gave up on drawing lol.
Anybody else fucking hate his fucking faces with those fat lips and a sad duckface expression?

Something about his girls was always screening "dumb thot" to me

I'm not a top artist but I found blender very easy to use. Free and tons of youtube tutorials.

he just uses 3D to get his tier work in for his patreon, along with the constant pouty face paintings and hard brush for reflection highlights it’s just money making shit, use it for work if you want but if you don’t know perspective don’t even try, also using it for personal work is stupid

>> No.4866319

I feel like you meant to post this in the /beg/ thread because you're a dumb fucking beginner that should just give the fuck up instead of being a excuse-fueled disappointment.

hot diggety damn
I hate to be a nitpicky bitch but even I've got better line confidence than that, he could be saving a lot of time and wrist strain when he's sketching by just practicing his line control a little.

Nigger, he’s a painter and line work is the least of his concerns. Rather take it as another point of view when approaching art.

>> No.4867328

>>4867286
I wasn't saying that because I think his linework should look better, but that by being more decisive and confident with his strokes in the sketch stage he would save some time, since he does most of the work in the painting stage anyways. If his linework is going to be that rough and imprecise and mostly inconsequential in the end, he might as well reduce the number of strokes taken to get there. It's a small nitpick, but I'm just surprised that's the case with him because the artists I learned from have solid draftsmanship and espoused the learning of such.

>> No.4867342

>>4867328
Not all artists are the same, if I where wlop I'd probably just skip the sketching phase and jump directly to painting considering he uses the transform tool a lot and just block out the silhouette with square chalky brush within the lasso tool.
I don't much about why he's sketch phase is rougher than the north sea but for all I care he never learned to draw and just paints.
