looking at Bob's gallery from back-to-front, i can definitely see the improvement from his first few posts to the most recent ones. something that i'm wondering is how much time Bob spends on construction/getting the form/outline correct as opposed to detailing it? perhaps shifting the focus more on construction and roughing things out as opposed to finalizing the pieces might be good. and watch out for the timer--personally, i would try not to spend any more than 20-30 minutes per exercise, depending on the complexity. it's okay to make less 'good' looking exercises and get the extra mileage instead of trying to fix/redo the same one over and over. i don't have a lot of other individual criticisms other than to keep practicing the exercises until it builds his skills up gradually.

oh--and always be sure to balance studies with personal pieces. i don't think i saw any personal pieces in Bob's gallery, which is a shame because that's when the fruit of your labors really come to light(as well as other things that may need improvement). studies are one thing, but don't neglect the practice needed to actually employ what you've learned from those studies into personal works.

I work on 15 different artwork at the same time. I use minimax strategy, minimize the whinning and maximize the output.

What i do is, i hyperfocus on one single objective, for example the first level of details, be it contour or silhouette and once i accomplish it, i move to my next drawing/canvas/artwork.

0. Life is awful and death will be peaceful.
1. I can kill myself at any time, for example this evening when I'll build up courage and I won't be disturbed. Or after ordering some pizza for the last time. Or in 2 days, after drinking all the booze I can afford. It doesn't really matter when exactly it will happen.
2. Since I don't believe in afterlife, it doesn't really matter what I did prior to my death. It makes sense then to do some pleasurable things before I'll do it; I've got some savings and it would be silly not to use them. I've loved his stuff ever since he joined and look at his submissions almost daily. His furry drawings are always so cute to look at and his studies on war machinery and stuff are pretty cool. He's starting to do more colors which is great and wanna see him do more, though personally the sketches themselves are very charming even if he doesn't see it that way.

really good stuff in here! paganini's anatomy is actually pretty great--sure there's some wonky stuff here and there, especially in the older works, but i expect those will continue to become less and less frquent the more they keep practicing/drawing. the only crits i have in mind are that 1. i really recommend doing more value & color studies, since that seems to be a really weak area. when paganini colors, the values are very muddy in their colored works, to the point that there isn't really a clear light source and everything feels very messy. def needs more hard edges too, and avoid overblending. 2. i would also really like to see some variety--right now everything is a lot of very basic 'pretty girls' with similar looks and not very expressive. which is fine if that's the subject matter they prefer, but for studies i would recommend broadening their horizons a bit before closing in on something so specific. i really enjoyed the nature study with the insects, for example; it would be nice to see more stuff like that.

overall, keep up the good work and i look forward to seeing what you do in the future.
